Regional Tourism Co-op Seeking Sr. Director/editor/sales

Salish Sea Tourism represents the interests of businesses and organizations in over one hundred waterfront towns and communities between Olympia, WA and Campbell River, BC. Our goal is to bring together a collective voice in raising awareness for water-centric travel around the Salish Sea.

The Salish Sea is the protected body of water covering the inside passages of both Washington and British Columbia. Communities on both sides of the border have common interests, heritage and offer thematically similar attractions. Our goal, with your help, is to build a strong membership-based organization that will solidify a unified message representing the Salish Sea as a world class travel destination.

We currently have a well-visited e-magazine that needs attention (PugetSoundMagazine.com). We have thousands of prospective members eager to participate. This is a ground-floor opportunity for the right person who has media experience. Much of the work can be accomplished from your home in West Seattle.

One of the many benefits you will have is the opportunity to travel on the Salish Sea aboard a private yacht as we periodically do member-drive pilgrimages throughout the region.

You must have at least 5 years experience in the media industry and be familiar with the Pacific Northwest. Sales, writing and editorial experience is a must. You must have a car (or boat) for occasional trips around the region.
