I think I’ve got crop circles, Doc.

—What makes you say that, Merle?

    Well, I’ve got crops, right?

    —Right.

And a circle is a closed plane curve, every point of which is equidistant from a fixed point within the curve, right?

—Well, yeah, if you say so, Merle, but I don’t see what . . .

Look, don’t you get it, Doc? There’s nothing else they could be!

I’ve reeeally been enjoying Wimp. I learned more there in 15 minutes today than all year on the other websites I seem looped into. ie. How did the Egyptians multiply and divide? Check. (Same as modern computers)

For you design and marketing enthusiasts out there, this vid employs just about every trick in the book.

Can you figure what it has to do with the OP theme, though?

Watch closely. It all whizzes by pretty fast.

Mandelbrot used IBM computing to create fractal geometry. If you haven’t already, check out The Colors of Infinity. It’s a great documentary on the Mandelbrot Set.

    On a world that never was . . .

There’s too much advertising embedded in this vid, but other than that, it’s pretty good, from a layperson’s point of view.
