I just wanted to give a rave for the Original Bakery by the Fauntleroy Ferry Dock. About a year ago my car broke down in front of their place and they ran out to help me push it to safety. After I sat there for a few hours (with much help from my fellow West Seattlites that was much appreciated!) I finally gave up, called AAA, and sat in the rain crying for a while out of sheer frustration. One of the bakers came out with a cookie and a hug and she really made my day. Talk about going above and beyond – KUDOS! And great cookies, I may add :)
That IS a nice story; I agree they are always very nice.
Hmmm….have not tried their cookies, Yet. :) However, I do have a definite thing for their honey bran muffins…the kind which are saturated with honey. Yum. And, their old-fashioned doughnut is my favorite in the city, thus far. Too good.
The one I had was just a sugar cookie and maybe it was the rain and the tears, but it tasted lovely! I used to go there all the time when I was a kid and dirty my teeth on their old fashioned donuts after dentist appointments. :)
