Just a note that 1) I LOVE THEIR COFFEE 2) the people in there are always nice and friendly.

The Mexican Mocha is so delicious and today I had some kind of frozen something and YUM.

The servers seemed a little glum and when I asked, they said they’d just been besieged by a group og 35 people who ordered tons of drinks, no please nor thank-you, and left a total tip of $1.50!

So I thought Hotwire deserved my rave today!

maryt-thanks for posting this. i am there nearly everyday and adore the staff. sweet, kind people who always take time to see how you are. i headed up there after you posted so i could get my usual yummy drink and drop an extra bit of “religion” in the tip jar (no offense to anyone). i think the term is “do unto others”, ladies. LOVE YOU HOTWIRE!

I’m not a coffee drinker, but I went there to use their computers a couple weeks ago while my internet was out. I bought a latte just to buy some time on the computer and was pretty surprised by how much I liked it.

I worked at a Barnes and Noble once upon a time and had to cover breaks in the cafe, which was a Starbucks brand cafe. That’s where I learned to hate coffee, lattes, espressos and all those disgusting concoctions. They were overly expensive, lacked any discernible good flavor and were wildly unhealthy for you. Even now, the smell of coffee makes me physically ill.

That said, the latte at Hotwire was really, really good. Didn’t turn my stomach and I actually drank it while checking up on my email.

I’d go back if I ever need a caffeine fix.

Yup…Hotwire is simply the best coffee in town. I recently had to stop the coffee (dr’s orders), and the gang their went out of their way to try lots of cool tea combinations to keep me happy (and ,yes…a Mexican Hot Chocolate serves its purpose well)…

oh..next time..try either the SWISS chocolate (DROOOOL), or the Sugar Free Monin chocolate. It’s prefectly delicious.

Might we also note that Hotwire Coffee was the very first West Seattle business to buy an ad on WSB. As this is now a family-owned business running on ad revenue, their support, and that of the other advertisers who have joined since, is vital to keep WSB going and growing. (And advertisers get something out of it too – they get seen more than 14,000x/daily.) Not to mention, Lora is a cool person. And we’re collaborating with her on Movies on the Wall this year (have you “voted” yet?

grr–good to hear they come up with “creative” tea drinks. We had our first coffee there Sunday, when we were getting our hanging pot from the PAWs sale. It was great (as was the PAWs pot, which I haven’t killed yet.)

TR — we try to remember to tell businesses we found out about them on the blog–even when they aren’t YET advertisers. Used to be we sometimes had to explain what WSB was — now everyone just smiles and nods knowingly.

I love Hotwire’s coffee. They are close to my house so I often walk there when I want a little something to satisfy my sweet tooth.

I will go to a business that I will recommend to someone here on WSB and tell them hey have you heard of WSB? I mentioned you on the forum site the other day so I hope you will tune into the WSB to see what is about and how you can benefit. I have my sister-in-law reading this page also. So one more reader has joined the rank and file.

I love them too! They were one of the first places I discovered in WS and I go every Saturday. Gotta love it!

Haven’t they received some pretty big awards in Seattle lately?
