FullTiltParticipantThanks for all the kind words. I just wanted to share a bit of news. It became official today, we are opening a second store in Columbia City, next to Geraldine’s Counter on Ferdinand. Now we just need a big panting of Ferdinand the Bull.

mrhinehMemberI don’t want to over look Husky Deli here. Maybe they don’t have all these creative flavors, but it is one of the last places you get a TRUE Half Gallon any more. These other companies that have dumbed us down to 1.5 and 1.75 quarts are really getting my hackles up :(
That said, FT is pretty yummy.
February 12, 2009 at 8:51 pm #656016
JanSParticipantyes, we can never forget Husky’s. Their ice c ream is tres delicious. And the make a stout icecream for Elliott Bay Brewpub that is out of this world…yumm…
February 12, 2009 at 9:02 pm #656017
FullTiltParticipantI will be the first to tout Husky’s yumminess. Without them, there would be no Full Tilt.

mom2sorenMemberHusky’s has wayyyyyyy to much sugar for me. I can’t make it through a small cone. But to each his own.

ZenguyParticipantI bought some Birthday cake ice cream for a friends Birthday, he tried it and promptly put it in the freezer for later. lol

RSMemberHey Justin- congrats on the Columbia City store!! Can’t wait to support both locations! :)
February 12, 2009 at 9:43 pm #656021
JoBParticipantzenguy… next time maybe you need to bring two containers.. one to hoard and one to share:)

JenVMemberthat is excellent news on the new location! Congrats to all. This reminds me, I need to make a trip to White Center this weekend for some ice cream…I don’t suppose you still have some black licorice left?
February 12, 2009 at 10:29 pm #656023
carrieannMemberI do enjoy Husky Deli’s coffee oreo and lemon custard ice creams. I’ve been wanting to try Full Tilt for some time, but can never seem to make it over there during business hours. I’m usually in the neighborhood earlier in the morning, running errands with my 1-yr-old after dropping my older munchkin off at school. Gotta make it happen!

AlParticipantNeed….ice….cream…….now….
We can’t eat anything but Full Tilt any longer. We are completely addicted and sometimes just talk about it longingly.

datamuseParticipantI take guests to Full Tilt as often as I can. Love it!! Congratulations!

Garden_nymphMemberFull Tilt Ice Cream, how do I love thee, let me count the ways…! Since I started this discussion, I thought I would just let everyone know what excellent community supporters Full Tilt is (as if we didn’t know…) they became a Camp Fire Merchant of Merit by purchasing a full case, 15 boxes, of candy. When we stopped in, the place was packed, which was GREAT to see. I had my heart set on more Ube ice cream (GenHillOne, did you ever get to try it?) but it was almost out. What I did get shared a container with the toasted coconut ice cream – a HEAVENLY combination!!! I also bought some coffee oreo for my son, who is 18 and complains about everything, but LOVED the ice cream. I had hoped to try the much hyped cardamom, but it was already sold out, so I bought some green tea instead. I haven’t been disappointed yet, it is all amazing and I am so very happy to hear that in such difficult times, you are able to expand!
Congrats on the second location Full Tilt! You are a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, great people sharing a great product. P.S. Don’t forget to give Ferdinand a pretty flower to sniff.

carrieannMemberI just vowed to start eating low(er) carb again, after going on a serious sugar bender over the past few *mumble mumble* But man, I think I’ll have to make an exception and get over to Full Tilt today. Something about this sunnier weather (though after a walk along Alki, it’s definitely still cold out there!) that makes the temptation of ice cream too strong to resist. Hopefully you still have some black licorice, because my husband was reading your MySpace page over my shoulder and let out a quite audible “MMMM” when he saw that.
February 22, 2009 at 12:34 am #656028
FullTiltParticipantwe do have the black licorice.
February 22, 2009 at 6:22 am #656029
JeannieParticipantI can’t wait to try Full Tilt! First Zippy’s, now this. Too much temptation. I’ve been craving some really good, genuine butterscotch ice cream – haven’t seen that in ages. Or maple walnut. Husky Deli does a good job with the maple walnut. But I’d love to taste a Full Tilt version. Or German Chocolate ice cream…yum!
February 23, 2009 at 4:09 am #656030
carrieannMemberYou did, indeed, have the black licorice. We finally made it there on Saturday afternoon, and, man… where have you been all my life!? SO good, FT. I couldn’t decide which to have, so I actually went with the miniball and tried them all. Got a little tricky to tell which was which as we neared the bottom of the dish, but I didn’t even care. The Ube, Birthday Cake and Black Licorice may be my current faves, but I’ll have to sample a couple other close calls again, just to be sure. ;) Got in a few games of pinball, enjoyed the vibe of the place, and will definitely return!

AlParticipantI have been trying and trying to get to Full Tilt when it’s open! My ice cream craving is not yet satisfied by competitors. However, it seems like the doors have been closed early (!). Granted, one time I stopped by it was a Monday (closed of course on this day). Another time, not a Monday, closed! And yesterday, a Tuesday, 8:10 pm, closed! Gah!
February 25, 2009 at 6:13 pm #656032
flowerpetalMemberMy first time to Full Tilt was last Friday. I bought three different flavors to take to a volunteer board meeting/dinner. So of course we held off on the ice cream until the end. The board chair stopped talking mid-sentance when she got her first taste of the cardomon rose. By the time she and others had tasted the Thai tea and Mexican chocolate I thought they were going to weep with joy. I know I bowed to the sacred cow and Full Tilt that evening. Heaven on earth!
February 25, 2009 at 6:17 pm #656033
FullTiltParticipantSorry about yesterday. Had some back issues, and did not open up at all. I am opening up today though, and open until 9pm/
February 25, 2009 at 11:51 pm #656034
AlParticipantThank goodness!

ws4everMemberThanks, posters about black licorice. Last Saturday night, 7pm, got a waffle cone and heads-up about the White Center Art Walk two doors south, band members just showing up at Full Tilt to play music. Art walk people saw the heavenly ice cream and were interested about music. At WC art walk, heard about White Center sale at skating rink on Saturday. Great Community action going on here.:)

FullTiltParticipantWe are truly excited about this. Seems the press is loving us too. We got a two write ups in the Stranger this week, and the March issue of Seattle Metropolitan magazine has a nice little column about us. Here are links to the stranger:

GinaParticipantTook a friend to Full Tilt today, he had the chili and lime ice cream. Two scoops. He made “yum, yum, yum” noises down to the last bite.
He is happy, happy, happy. He can ride the 128 and get ice cream and visit the store across the street, too! That has been his one drawback to living in West Seattle, having to transfer downtown to purchase his favorite magazines.
