I have had an awful time with cars in the past and I have dealt with two types of mechanics. Type A will usually talk down to you and make you feel bad so you’ll pay them money because you don’t know any better. And Type B won’t explain the issue to you in a manner that makes sense and generally uses it as an opportunity to make more money.

Andy has taken the time to explain to me what’s been going on with my car and has worked on the same weird “check engine light” situation that’s been going on since I bought the car. He’s patient, he explains things simply and he is extremely fair.

    Highly recommended! :)

With a previous (thankfully) ill-behaving car, they made a huge impression on me. My car limped into Barnecut’s where it wouldn’t start again. It clearly needed to stay there and it was December 23rd…with a new bike in the trunk. I could have walked home with the thing, but one of the guys drove me and the Christmas present home. That just doesn’t happen anymore and I will never forget it :)

I work in customer service so I have ridiculously high standards and I’ve Barnecut’s has always lived up to them! One winter I installed my own wiper blades right beore setting off on an evenings errands. The driver’s side blade went all crooked about a half block later and it had started to rain. I made it the few blocks to Barnecut’s just before closing time and a sweet kid fixed it for me, free of charge! Recently, I have gained an added appreciation for their full-service gas after having gone thru chemo (all better now!). Some days during treatment I did not have the energy to pump gas or wash the windows, so it was really nice to have that option available.
