enginerdParticipantThread jacking seems to be becoming rampant on the WSB Forums. Please respect the original post by only adding follow-on posts that are pertinent to the subject at hand. Thanks.

transplantellaParticipantHow many squirrels live in Lincoln Park?
December 9, 2010 at 12:15 am #710387
moxilotMemberStarting a new thread to harp on the users posting on your other thread isn’t much better.
December 9, 2010 at 12:16 am #710388
theeParticipantDid you approach west seattle blog thread jackers with this complaint before you posted it? it’s in the rules, you know…
December 9, 2010 at 12:16 am #710389
KBearParticipantThere would probably be more squirrels if it weren’t for all the off-leash dogs.
December 9, 2010 at 12:34 am #710390
enginerdParticipantthee… no mention of thread jacking in the “rules”… did I miss it?
Sorry if this rant isn’t in keeping with the general decorum found acceptable in the WSB. Perhaps I am just used to other online forums where thread jacking is considered rude and annoying.
Banter on all you wish, ‘ol nutty West Seattlites!!! I’ll just get out of the way.

transplantellaParticipantWhat are you having for dinner tonight? I need ideas.
December 9, 2010 at 12:48 am #710392
DPMemberOh, come on now, enginerd. Thread-jacking happens everywhere, from blog posts to presidential press conferences.
Come to the meet-up this Sunday at Cupcake Royale, buy me a cupcake, and I promise I’ll hang raptly on your every word.
At least until someone else cuts in with a better cupcake.
December 9, 2010 at 12:52 am #710393
transplantellaParticipantI’ve got about 1/2 lb. of ground beef in the fridge, some potatoes, carrots, cheese, and I can’t think how to whip up a dinner from this disparate combination of ingredients.
And I’m definitely not walking up to the store in the rain.
December 9, 2010 at 1:02 am #710394
maplesyrupParticipantCheeseburger, oven fries and steamed carrots.
December 9, 2010 at 1:02 am #710395
enginerdParticipanttransplantella… you’re thread jacking skills need work.
DP, I don’t like cupcakes. Pumpkin ice cream at Husky would suffice though.
December 9, 2010 at 1:05 am #710396
EmmyJaneParticipantSweet potato tacos. Delicious and nutritious!
December 9, 2010 at 1:07 am #710397
VanessaParticipantI’ll give this thread until 6pm (way too much time) before there is chupacabra snipe here. And btw, Enginerd, do you drive to work or carry your lunch?
December 9, 2010 at 1:10 am #710398
ToddinWestwoodMemberDARN IT VANESSA! That was the first thing that came to mind. you beat me to it.

transplantellaParticipantCheeseburgers with steamed carrots? :-( That makes no sense.
And besides, I don’t have any buns.
December 9, 2010 at 1:14 am #710400
maplesyrupParticipantDecember 9, 2010 at 1:18 am #710401
transplantellaParticipantDon’t be silly. Chupacabras don’t eat carrots, they’re carnivores.
Or I could just make French toast.
December 9, 2010 at 1:24 am #710402
WSMomParticipantBreakfast for dinner is always a big hit at my house.
December 9, 2010 at 1:24 am #710403
TDeParticipantSteam the potatoes, create a hamburger gravy (add water & cornstarch to the cooked ground round), steam the carrots.. or have them whole and fresh. Plop the hamburger gravy over the steamed potatoes. If your cholesterol isn’t high enough, add some shredded cheese to the potato, gravy mix.

JanSParticipantsooooo…back to the OP….sometimes threads take turns that are most interesting. It does happen, it’s an open forum. Rules are…we can talk about the post but not the poster. Rant rules are…you have to go to the offender and try to fix things first before posting a rant. Gotta love those rules :) The editor of this fine “blog” doesn’t have time to moderate, so…guess we do it ourselves. We try to play nice…really :)
I may have oatmeal !

charlabobParticipantI’ve had a very long and tedious day. You-all have just brightened it up immensely. Starting with post 2. (I know that was your goal in life.) Thank you from one tired wench.
December 9, 2010 at 1:55 am #710407
dhgParticipantWhat a hoot.
Slow cooked squirrel was the diet of that Southern Huckster Mike Huckabee during college. He thought people might be able to relate to him better with that story out there.
I leave the squirrels for chupas.
December 9, 2010 at 1:55 am #710408
johnnyblegsMemberTake chicken breasts, skin side down, with some oil on medium high. Cook until skin is nice and golden brown. Flip then put in 450 oven with sprig of rosemary and couple tablespoons of butter on top of skin. Cook until done. Roasted potatoes and greens on the side. Yum
December 9, 2010 at 1:59 am #710409
charlabobParticipantBTW, catlbob reminds us that you can use bread with a cheeseburger if you don’t have a bun.
