The Velvet BulldogParticipantMy car got hit in front of Zeek’s pizza a couple of weeks ago by a hit-and-run driver. Though a witness got the license plate, it’s registered under a fake address(!) The detective working the case ask that I post this description of the car that hit me on the blog and ask that people be on the lookout. Because a witness saw him later stop at a house on California Ave, there is the thought that he may know someone here. I am specifically not publishing his name and I’m leaving off one number and one letter from the license plate to avoid concerns about vigilantism. Thanks in advance for your eagle-eyes!

miwsParticipantI’ll keep an eye out, TVB.
How are *you* doing in your recovery from the aches and pains that were a result in this incident?

The Velvet BulldogParticipantJust giving this a bump in hopes of reaching some more eagle-eyes!

GenHillOneParticipantHey TVB – can you get permission to post this at MJ businesses and/or in lobbies of condos/apts? Maybe with an agreed upon “pull” date so they don’t feel like it would be there forever…and can people make anonymous tips to that number? I’m just trying to think of where you might reach the person that the driver was visiting.
Glad you’re on the mend BTW!!

beachdrivegirlParticipantMaybe a dumb question but has the police department gone by the house on California to ask what they know about the car?
June 9, 2009 at 11:52 pm #669141
The Velvet BulldogParticipantThe witness who saw the car/guy couldn’t identify the exact house again, so we’re at a dead end there too. :(
June 9, 2009 at 11:57 pm #669142
beachdrivegirlParticipantThat sucks! I’ll keep my an eye out for the car though.
