    I live in the Alaska Junction and I keep hearing what sounds like some broadcast announcement late at night when I have my window open. I never catch the whole thing, but I do hear a male voice saying ‘To identify yourself, call…’ At first, I thought it was something to do with a police call, but I keep hearing it now and again and then it’s just quiet after.

    Can anyone let me know what this is about or have you heard it too?

    I don’t know if such a system exists, but this thought just popped into my head; might it be a security system in a nearby building, that is activated by people wanting to access it after hours?

    MIWS. That sounds like the most logical answer. There are home and commercial systems that let you talk to someone even if you’re at a different location.

    There is also a guy who drives around in a white, commercial van with a 1 red and 1 blue stipe, who yells at people through a loudspeaker.
