2. Any thread discussing the attached video should be entirely safe and hopefully won’t be yanked even though I commented here.
Even though I’ve repeatedly donated to WSB (via the button waaaaaay down the home page), comment often to praise and agreement on news articles under different names, it amuses me that each thread discussion I’ve joined in the Forums has been yanked.
3. BTW: All should donate to WSB often as possible…

Wonder why that is?
Do you feel that since you have contributed so much monetarily, that you should be allowed to say whatever you want on here? Serious question. Do you feel that being a big donator should get you privileges that a lesser donator shouldn’t get?

WSBKeymasterWe have had one donation in the past oh six months or so. We don’t solicit them. It was for $25. If that was you, Tesla, thank you, but I’d be happy to give the money back if you feel somehow you are being persecuted or have some other reason for wanting a refund. Just e-mail me an address to send it back to you.
We cannot be and have never been bought. We don’t have grants, we don’t have co-owners, we don’t have investors. Our ad rates even are low for a reason – we have not raised the rates in five years -and our advertisers more than get their money’s worth.
We have not raised rates so far because we want to be fair to the local business community in an economically rocky time AND because it means even more than “old media” that we are not beholden to anyone. You want to yank your ad because you’re unhappy with something we published, or the fact we wouldn’t remove a forum thread critical of your business, or some other reason? That’s fine. It means we’re not a good fit anyway. Much as we DEEPLY appreciate our customers, losing one sponsor or five or even ten won’t put us out of business, because our rates are so rock-bottom low. And yes, we have lost customers because we would not pull critical content. We have principles, we have ethics.
And after living through a harrowing site outage this past hour, I’m not in the mood for one shred more abuse. Thanks.
