I am looking to get a second opinion of an ms diagnosis and am wondering if anyone has a neurologist that they love and recommend.

    Thanks.

Mariko Kita at Virginia Mason is excellent – she is a neurologist that specializes in MS, and gives very thoughtful, individualized care. https://www.virginiamason.org/body.cfm?id=1175&action=detail&ref=279

Pennidogg – I was diagnosed 20 years ago. I have a lot of information that might help you make a decision on which doctor to choose.

If you’d like to contact me, here’s my email thansen126@gmail.com.

My dad’s wife has been under care of doctors at UW for a number of brain tumors resulting from stage 4 breast cancer. She recently had both gamma knife and open surgery to remove them and they have been as successful as late cancer treatment can be. They’re very smart at UW, and often always have a next course of action even if it gets to the point of needing to be experimental.

It’s been very strange to see my school in such a different perspective. But makes me even prouder to be a Husky.

I highly recommend Sylvia Lucas at the UW Medical Center. She is the Directot of the Western MS Center, and a brilliant, compassionate neurologist. I have been seeing her for probably 15 years, and could not be more grateful for her care.
