cburnsParticipantThis year I’m hoping to get in the habit of regular, maybe monthly, massages to help with general relaxation and tension-reduction. When the snow got us out walking from Thistle to Alaska, I was surprised how many massage places are on that stretch of California alone. Mind Body Spirit in the junction looks promising, but would welcome any feedback on that or other massage providers in the neighborhood. Affordability will be a plus, if “monthly” is to be a reality.

JenVMemberI have only had one massage here in WS, but it was a good one! Jan Seeley at: http://www.massageforwell-being.com
I went in with a shoulder issue, and it was cleared up after the first visit. My next visit will be for relaxation only!

celeste17ParticipantI was going to recommend Jan also. She is a forum member and posts often. I haven’t had a massage by her but have heard good things.

rockergirlMemberAnother great WSB Sponsor is M3 Bodyworks Massage – (http://www.m3bodyworks.com/index.html)- they are located on California avenue kitty corner from West Seattle nursery. Jen Barth is a great therapist and I have been using her services for 2 years – all of the therapists there are great and very good at helping you relieve stress, relax and recover from injuries (if you need).
Reasonable rates – online appt. booking – specials and also active in the community hosting local artists for the artwalk. Check them out

AimParticipantI’ll third the recommendation fro Jan. Bonus: she takes insurance! So if your insurance covers massage, you’re really in luck. She made a big difference for me with one visit.

SueParticipantAnother WSB Sponsor is West Seattle Wellness. I’ve been seeing Joe Bielling there monthly for over a year now and am very happy with him. If you buy a 5-pack of massages the prices are about 20% or so off, which is nice, and he also takes insurance. The website is http://www.westseattlewellness.com and they’re right in Alaska Junction. Online scheduling too, which I love.

KeithMemberI’ve had great experiences with both M3 Bodyworks and West Seattle Wellness, and feel fortunate to have them both in walking distance!

lil moMemberI highly reccommend Suzanne at West Side Chiropractic, and also really like Josie at M3 bodyworks. I like a good deep tissue massage, which is not for everyone, but if you want a massage that works things out go see one of these ladies. I believe they both take insurance too.
