I vaguely remember reading something on the WSB about the City/DOT (?) providing alerts for the low bridge when it’s open. Does anyone remember this? It certainly would have helped yesterday and this morning when the low bridge was open during rush hour (around 8 am).
You can also get texts. I am signed up for so many of these that every time the bridge opens or closes, my phone goes off four times. The bridge-closing/opening texts come via King County Metro – when you sign up for “SMS/Text alerts” here:
