kootchmanMemberGood thing about numbers.. they are neither rational or irrational in philosophic or literary terms.. (yes, I lnow there are rational and not rational numbers) For the sake of this discussion, al la war on women, in this country, at this time, with this administration women are getting the shortest end of an increasingly shorter stick. That’s Hope and Change in action.

JoBParticipantkootchman..
and at this time in this nation who controls the jobs that women have lost?
hint.. Obama is not the nation’s employer
July 17, 2012 at 4:43 am #755463
kootchmanMemberHint: Obama is the President.. ( I know, it sometimes hard to imagine) and he has pretty much set the policies that have kept this economy in the dumps… and here’s the funny thing.. liberals and non business owners.. say.. clearly, that this tax and spend environment is no impediment to hiring and no one even knows what Obamacare looks like cause they are still writing it..!!! But small business have seen.. oooohhhh they don’t like it. … the ACTUAL owners of the businesses say .. no way in hell are we going to hire, grow, or make calculated risks in this environment. Aren’t you very glad your 401K and SEP have broad, global funds to pick from? Let’s compromise.. he is not the nation’s employer.. he is the national unemployer. The Big Daddy ain’t comin through for ya.

JoBParticipantkootchman…
the president can set some policy
but without congresses approval, he can’t hire
and who is it is congress that has kept him from hiring?
who thinks protecting genetically modified corn is more important than jobs?
who thinks “protecting” marriage is more important than jobs?
who thinks busting planned parenthood is more important than jobs?
who thinks legislating abortion is more important than jobs?
who thinks protecting the temporary tax cuts Bush gave the wealthy to stimulate the economy is more important than jobs?
i know this looks like multiple choice..
but there is really only one answer to this quiz…
it’s the republican whiz kids
and who is funding the elections of those whiz kids?
the employers who terminated 2.5 million jobs in America
and replaced them with 2.4 million jobs overseas…
Yeah baby!
And you think you can sell women on the idea that Obama is a job eating monster destroying the future of their children?
not likely.. but knock yourself out dude.

kootchmanMemberHiring who? More government workers? That’s all we need a bigger federal payroll…to take more money out of the private sector. He just started hiring new IRS agents.. to enforce the Obmacare Tax.
You wanted the Bush tax cuts repealed… now you don’t? I don’t get it. Now we have the Democrats squabbling.. who is wealthy? Obama says 200K.. Pelosi says 1 million, .. others say 500K.. in any case.. if he sticks with the 250K… he raises enough money to run the government for 7 days… THAT”S his reform?
The economic war on women has got to stop…. Romney.

kootchmanMemberIBM is headed by a woman. Now, I see a young bright, and very pregnant woman is the new CEO of Yahoo.. at age 37…. and ya know what… she is catching flack from every side… including her “sisters”… it’s no win no matter what we do. I hope she get support from a new breed of “lactavists” Go get em’ Marissa.. it;s a turn around for sure.. win, lose, or draw.. it’s a great achievement, Three male CEO’s couldn’t do it… and I regret your sisters are calling it a publicity stunt… for a dual computer science engineer from Stanford and a start-up officer at Google.. no one is better QUALIFIED to try!!!

JoBParticipantkootch..
“Obama is the President.. ( I know, it sometimes hard to imagine) and he has pretty much set the policies that have kept this economy in the dumps…”
i can distinctly remember you telling me before he was elected that businesses weren’t going to invest in America if Obama became president.
and you were right
So businesses not hiring doesn’t have a thing to do with any policy Obama did or didn’t set, does it?
it has to do with businesses that want an even better deal than the great deal they have now
and don’t tell me they don’t have a great deal now
they are earning record profits
anyway
if Obama’s business policies are bad for business
why are they earning record profits kootch?
i would ask if you could explain that but right now i don’t have the energy to wade through your rationalization… so don’t put yourself out for me.

JoBParticipantkootchman
” That’s all we need a bigger federal payroll…to take more money out of the private sector”
jobs programs generally involve the private sector kootch.. and put money back into local economies… even when they don’t involve private employers.. they still put money back into the local communities
July 23, 2012 at 1:52 am #755469
JoBParticipant“The economic war on women has got to stop…. Romney. “
ROFLOL CAN”T STOP
that is so rich kootch…
What’s he going to do?
ask his campaign contributors to stop firing them?
and to stop funding legislation to take away their right to make their own choices?
Yeah baby!
Romney is going to stop the war on women ;->

kootchmanMemberNo.. he is going to prime the pump by stepping aside. Lower taxes, pass a budget and repeal Obamacare. JoB to put government jobs into the economy you have to take money out of the economy.. wjy is that concept so hard to understand. It doesn’t work.
July 23, 2012 at 3:02 pm #755471
JoBParticipantkootch..
LOL
bush primed the pump by lowering taxes
that worked out really well for the top 2%
but it sure cut into our budget for essential services like police and fire and …
i don’t know how to tell you this dude
but trickle down only works when those who have the money invest in America
he abandoned regulation so firmly that he allowed the finance industry to nearly collapse our entire economy
Those who profited by the nation’s collapse chose to speculate, hoard and to invest overseas …
leaving johnQ the only investor who is actually interested in investing in America
i think it’s time you got out of johnQ’s way so the nation can prosper
there is nothing Americans can’t do when they work together
but .. that’s what you are most afraid of… isn’t it ?
July 24, 2012 at 4:56 am #755472
kootchmanMemberwell JoB … first, teachers, cops, firefighters are local government responsibilities. Record profits? Not where it counts…small businesses. local governments. Yes the multinationals (some) are doing ok… but they are sustaining sales while cutting the work force and have a broader base to spread the risk and seek opportunity.. but profits are not at record levels… we’ve been through this regulatory thing too many times. Is Bush running again? Or, actually Clinton? No. As American business predicted Obama delivered in his anti business agenda. They will wait him out. Cut the damn corporate taxes…!!! Even Obama knows that much… entice the money home. Don’t ya even see it? There ARE companies investing in the US economy… ones that derive their tax structure from their repatriated incomes made here… and send to Asia or Europe. Philips just reported 7% growth in the US market… best in their global span… This the company that Obama gave $10 million to for the $50 light bulb. They pay corporate income of 20/25% for money earned in Holland.. NOTHING for what they earn in the USA as long as they bring the money back to Holland so Durch banks can loan it out and invest… YOU wanted to tax Apple last year the full 35% of their offshore earnings if they bought it home to the USA….. cause it was “fair”…. so foreign banks are lending their deposits to foreign companies and I am betting you are stilll stuck in that mindset. Pssst.. Apple still hasn’t bought it home..!
July 24, 2012 at 4:59 am #755473
kootchmanMemberTell ya what JoB… you list all the Bush legislation that loosened credit requirements, capital requirements, and allowed the big banks to co mingle depository and investment functions… then I will list the ones Slick Willy signed into law… let’s see who has the longer list…
Then we can go back to this election, with the two candidates who ARE running for President.
“they still put money back into the local communities”
Yes JoB AFTER they take it out… then diminish its purchasing power by the “overhead” of taking and redistributing. We don’t want to work with a redistribution by a “democratic socialist” inspired theology. That’s what the election is all about. JoHnQ may not be you… or me. November will tell. We tried it this way… and it ain’t working… not even making progress… we are falling farther behind.. Bain, Bush, Tsunami, Europe, Oil spill, what did I forget… oh yea.. millionaires and billionaires… we haven’t hear much of that lately.. Bain and Bush, Bain and Bush… Bain and Bush…. we got it.
July 24, 2012 at 3:02 pm #755474
JoBParticipantkootch..
small businesses arent’ goign to do well until there are jobs
cutting firefighters, policemen and teachers only weakens their businesses..
it’s not as though we as a nation haven’t given trickle down a chance.. it’s been several decades now with the excuse always being that we haven’t given big business enough.
we gave away the farm kootch.. and it didn’t put Americans to work.
you are beating a dead horse.
if the jobs aren’t going to come from those who have the cash to provide them
then we are going to have to provide them ourselves..
the money from those jobs really will trickle down into the community…
and into those small businesses who are failing for want of customers
you can cry envy all you want to
but you are promoting a failed policy
and there isn’t much remedy for that.
July 26, 2012 at 3:35 pm #755475
kootchmanMemberOne trickle down system to another? Two things about government trickle down… it’s less efficient, two, there will be less to trickle down… capital will continue to migrate offshore. Bad enough the jobs left, now you want to drive the wealth too? How are you going to provide those “yourselves”… ? Borrow more? How is the government going to create wealth? It will be the first time in our history…. going to follow the Chinese model..? Everything state owned?
July 28, 2012 at 7:05 am #755476
kootchmanMemberObama was warned by wiser heads to leave this alone… it was a third rail… byt noooooo Sebelius had to have it.. Should never have declared a war on religion and wrapped it in “a war on women” healthcare issue. The rhetorical question was asked…”what if private companies say no”? We are going to find out. 23 states say they won’t play… and now every single employer may claim a religious objections if the so deem it a matter on conscience. Do not prod and provoke..

kootchmanMemberif Obama’s business policies are bad for business

MS lost money first time in its history
Apple missed its targets
Amazon had a horrid quarter
It’s a mixed bag… except for businesses employing less han 100 employees… they are in terrible shape.
