GenHillOneParticipantAnyone recognize the pizza or description?
June 7, 2008 at 1:57 am #626787
JanSParticipantwow..that’s really hard to pinpoint…maybe one in white center? a pizza place with outdoor dining? I can only think of Pegasus…and that doesn’t look like Pegasus
June 7, 2008 at 2:00 am #626788
JanSParticipantTR? you have great investigating skills….any idea?
June 7, 2008 at 2:08 am #626789
JenVMemberit’s not necessarily pizza. it just says “Italian”. 2200 sf in a free standing building with a bar. that means (thank god) it’s not Angelina’s. Could it be that little place on Beach Drive everyone is always raving about?
June 7, 2008 at 2:18 am #626790
JenVMemberI looked on parcel locater- La Rustica is listed as 1800+ square feet….it could be this one.
June 7, 2008 at 2:19 am #626791
HuindekmiParticipantI don’t think you could fit 100 people into La Rustica if you stacked them up like cord wood.
Maybe Christo’s on Alki?
June 7, 2008 at 2:34 am #626792
GenHillOneParticipantSeems to me that “same owner for 20 years” would be our best clue, but I’m clueless. I don’t know when La Rustica opened, but I did find 2000 for Christo’s. You’re right, Jan, that ISN’T Pegasus pizza! Plus, they aren’t in a stand alone building.

WSBKeymasterThat one has been e-mailed to us repeatedly (it’s appeared in various forms over the past few months) and as we always tell people, it is reportedly a certain Italian restaurant in Admiral that I won’t name cause we don’t do rumors but I think you could describe it as the oldest Italian restaurant in Admiral, and it’s north of California. Haven’t gotten around to calling to confirm it. — TR
p.s. the word “icon” is added in the listing here, which doesn’t mention bar, which would be more accurate to the one that insiders have said this is:
June 7, 2008 at 3:25 am #626795
JenVMemberif so, then it would be Bison Creek south. has a bar, lots of seating, outdoor seating….prime location? mmm, ok. sure.
I know I am “thread jacking” or whatev…but does anyone remember Bison Creek here in WS? That was the BEST place. I worked there one summer, and it was the most fun I have had at a job. the customers were great, the food was great, the co-workers were great. even after I worked there I still went there to hang out. anyone else have any good memories about BC? I guess I should post this on another thread, or Jiggers will yell at me.
June 7, 2008 at 5:13 am #626796
JanSParticipantlet jiggers yell…good exercise for him – lol..yes, JenV…I was partial to their whole wheat crusts…yummy pizza…much better than what’s there now..
ok…back to speculation about…restaurant for sale…I only know of one fairly large italian restaurant up here on the Adm. District, and yes, it’s name begins with an “A”…
June 7, 2008 at 6:08 am #626797
WSBKeymasterThere’s yet another version of the listing:

AnonymousInactiveSpiro’s? It’s listed as 2205 square feet
June 7, 2008 at 7:11 am #626799
AnonymousInactiveI have no idea what place this is (of course, being fairly new here, I would be the last person to know), but I couldn’t help but notice that the selling company is John Paul Mitchell and Ass. Isn’t that a hair care line?
June 7, 2008 at 7:19 am #626800
AnonymousInactiveNot sure about the ass part being in my haircare products.

AnonymousInactiveASSOCIATES!!!!
June 7, 2008 at 7:50 am #626802
JanSParticipantummm..if in the admiral district…I’m thinking that it’s Angelina’s…I know that might upset some of you. They have outdoor dining…and their bldg. is stand alone…and they’ve been there for about 20 years…
June 7, 2008 at 7:59 am #626803
JenVMemberbut they don’t have a bar. just sayin’. (hoping)
June 7, 2008 at 8:09 am #626804
JanSParticipantlol..that’s true…but they do serve alcohol…right? hmmmm…it get’s curiouser and curiouser…
say, hey, JenV, it’s Friday night…you’re supposed to have a hot date, not hanging on here with us…um…recluses – lol….
June 7, 2008 at 8:16 am #626805
JenVMemberhot date had boys night. and good riddance! after 7 years a girl needs a night to herself once in a while. :)
June 7, 2008 at 8:17 am #626806
AnonymousInactiveCould be, but Angelina’s square footage is listed as 2684. Has had same owner since 1984 though, according to property records.
June 7, 2008 at 8:28 am #626807
WSBKeymasterSpiro’s opened in 1991, according to its website.
Angelina’s opened in 1987, according to a citywide newspaper archive I found.
That one particular recent CL listing is the only one out of at least half a dozen that has mentioned a bar so could have been someone’s error.
June 7, 2008 at 8:30 am #626808
miwsParticipantJT, remember, the property owner is not always the same person/entity as the business owner. :)
.
I haven’t been to Spiros since their remodel, but I don’t think they had a bar before. Does anyone know if they do now?
.
Mike
June 7, 2008 at 8:33 am #626809
JanSParticipantso should we just call them up and ask if they’re for sale? lol…anonymously, of course :)
June 7, 2008 at 8:42 am #626810
AnonymousInactiveYou’re right Mike, I wasn’t thinking about that.
And no, I don’t think Spiro’s has a bar, but WSB made it sound like that might not necessarily be the case. The word bar was in only one of several ads. Their business isn’t old enough anyway.
Pretty much, I don’t know what I’m talking about anyway. Just like a good guessing game.
