House Cleaner Needed for a Move-in Cleaning

I am looking for someone who is very thorough for a move-in cleaning. Just a warning, I am very picky. I would normally want to do this myself, but I am 9 months pregnant.

Would love to have recommendations if you have someone you love and trust or if someone is looking for new clients, please leave your contact information.

I contacted a green cleaning company for a move-in and they quoted a price of $400 (without even looking at the place). Also, this was considered a “deal.” That seems pretty steep to me or am I being unreasonable? I would not require the person to clean any kitchen appliances, as we’ll be getting rid of them and buying new ones anyway.

Gabrayell “green” products have very HIGH price point.

So depending on the size of the house or apartment (you did not state)ei square feet, is it all wood floors, or carpet ect..

My company does the floors on our hands and knees NO mops, which does take longer.

There are a lot of variations, but giving a quote with out seeing it seems a little odd.

I used Hammerhead’s (aka Pamela) house cleaning services on a regular basis and they did a deep clean on my house before moving out. Pam and her team did a fantastic, thorough job in record time at a very reasonable price. She’s highly recommended!

Pamela has been cleaning our home for at least a couple years now, and the first time she and her crew came, they did a full “deep clean,” which was far better than the move-in cleaning job we got from someone else when we first moved into our home. She’s very thorough and conscientious. Honestly, I was surprised her bid wasn’t higher when we walked through my house and discussed the scope of the job. I have been very happy with her work.

I don’t know what you are aiming for in terms of particular products. “Green” can mean a lot of different things. My approach would be to discuss specifically what you want or don’t want used — and why — with whoever is giving you a bid. I do tend to agree with Pamela (and not just because she cleans my house) that there’s something odd about a firm or person quoting a fixed price without seeing the house and scoping out the job. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with that, myself.

I’ve used Pam’s services as well for move-in. Very reasonable and thorough. She’s my go-to. All services usually look at the place for quotes. I’ve used a “green” service and it came down to using products labeled “green” and the individual manually scrubbing areas vs spraying on product that would instantly dissolve whatever dirt/grime it was that required removal. Again I agree with all, if you have specifics, it’s best to do your due diligence and ask. I’m sure Pam would answer any questions you may have – she’s very open and knowledgeable..
