OSA FC is an Italian influenced non-profit soccer club based in Seattle. For the last 4 summers our club has brought Italian soccer players, ages 19-28, to Seattle to play and experience life in the US. We mix local soccer players with the Italians and play in adult men’s and women’s National soccer leagues, NPSL for the men and WPSL for the women. We have been offering this unique soccer/study abroad exchange experience for the last 4 years and look forward to another successful season, on and off the field!
Each summer our club arranges for the Italian soccer players to stay with local host families, its a big part of what we do as the Italians are able to have a true American experience. For Seattleites this is a great way for people interested in Italy to bring the Italian language, culture and the love of soccer into their own home, especially if they can’t travel. We have had single people and families host over the years, great relationships have been formed and many hosts have been able to travel to Italy to visit the players. Many families attend the games and get involved with the club, we do some trips and events with the families and players – its been a very rewarding experience for all of the people involved.
