smile123MemberI have two sweet, gentle, and loving 1.5 year old cats who need a new home. I recently got engaged and my fiance is so allergic to cats that he has never been to my house :-(
I am very sad, but I think it is time to find them a new loving home. They are a brother and sister pair and I would like to keep them together. Please let me know if you (or anyone you know) is interested in 2 great kitties.
The boy even plays fetch! They are great with kids as well.
Thanks!

luckymom30ParticipantAbout 10% of the U.S. population has pet allergies, and cats are among the most common culprits. Cat allergies are twice as common as dog allergies. But contrary to what you might think, it’s not the fur or hair that’s the real problem. People with cat allergies are really allergic to proteins in the cat’s saliva, urine, and dander (dried flakes of skin). I assume your fiancee has been tested for an allergy to cats via a blood test. I wish you luck in find a good home for these cats. Tough call I would have a very hard time removing my pets for any cause and would do whatever to keep them. Get rid of carpets and have wood floors.

SueParticipantsmile123, I was so severely allergic to cats that I had to give one up once, and it broke my heart. I was able to make a signficant difference in my allergies with kinesiology and have had a cat now for 7 years without wheezing and eyes swelling shut. If you’re interested in looking at options other than giving up the cats, contact me via my website (click on my name).

yarncoreMemberShe was asking the original poster for pictures of the CAT, she wasn’t asking you for pictures, luckymom30.
Why can’t people just help a woman find a nice home for cats? Why do you have to get all judgypants on a woman who isn’t just abandoning her pets, but is looking for a good home? Way to be a jerk.

KatherineLParticipantyarncore, I don’t think people were being judgmental. Given how heartrending it can be to give up a pet, they were offering possible options. I’d be grateful for a chance to keep both pet and boyfriend. And I think the boyfriend might be grateful for something that would reduce his allergies.

luckymom30ParticipantBecause most people I know would choose keeping their pets vs. giving them away. There are many things you can do to deal with allergies even to pets. I know several people who have allergies to pets expecially cats and they deal with it as Sue has done. Still hoping smile123 does some research and contacts Sue.
