rugsmithMemberHi – has anyone used Holiday Cleaners at 35th and Roxbury? If so, what do you think about their prices and quality?
Thanks!

ellenaterMemberAnd to just tag team this post (sorry rugsmith) are there any places locally that will hem pants? Maybe even Holiday Cleaners?

WSBKeymasterThey do alterations at Q Cleaners in The Junction (right by Yummy Teriyaki, south of Petco, etc.) Haven’t had anything hemmed but have had rips repaired, buttons, etc. …

missmandyMemberHey ellenater… i would not recommend Holiday clearner for alterations. I take all of my drycleaning there and the do a great job, even recently took a large rug and it only cost $25 but I have been disapointed any time I’ve taken pants for a hem. I guess I had faith in them and over the years would give them another try but I have never been happy with the results.

roguedeluxMemberI live right by the Roxbury/35th cleaners, and was very disappointed to walk out of a smoke-filled store. I won’t be going back.
I recently had pants hemmed and cleaned at the cleaners on Holden/35th. Much friendlier, on site service, and good pricing.

Garden_nymphMemberAlthough I live just a few doors down from them, I take my things to Quality Cleaners at 2601 California Ave. They are on the corner of S.W. Admiral Way and California. Years ago I took my things to Spic and Span Cleaners on Queen Anne and was never disappointed. When I moved to West Seattle, Quality Cleaners is who they recommended. I just don’t like paying for a maybe when I KNOW I will get an excellent job done at Quality! As for alterations, I have been very pleased with South West Alterations, 6967 California Ave S.W.

addParticipantIf you are willing to make two stops (one for dry cleaning and one for alterations), then I would recommend Mrs. Kim on California a block north from Cafe Ladro. Many people have raved about her quality work, pricing, and speed on this forum!
