Hi All, and especially Celeste17! Thank you Celeste for coming by Windemere last night to view my photographic art exhibit featuring large prints of the 1964 Chagall frescoe covering the ceiling of the Le Garnier (the old Paris Opera House) and, of course, duckies (including ducky Valentine’s cards).

I have posted the Duckies Rule! Valentine’s video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-LIqyuy96M

Ducky Bono also attended the Art Walk last night. I submitted a couple of pics to the WSB editor from the Windemere exhibit for publication here, but no luck. If anyone wants to see the sponsors of my exhibit “Peace and Love,” along with the Ducky Rose Logo, let me know, and I will post at http://www.DuckiesRule.com/home.htm

Take care and have a great V-Day!

    Duckitude!

I just checked out your photograph of the fresco. I surely was not expecting to see that tonight on WSB! OMG! It is one of my favorite works of art! In the top three. I love the stained glass windows lots too. AND, I love his early, early folklife stuff. I just love Chagall.

Fantastic to see that! What a treat!

This is a great place to post pix of events that we don’t get to … there are more than 40 venues in the Art Walk and we made it to five of them last night. Note that you can post photos here in the forum inline in posts, as long as they already have a URL since they’re uploaded someplace else – just use img src tags and make sure they are not wider than 450 pixels. Also if you are participating in next month’s Art Walk I am sure Lora would be interested in photos for the AW site, which had a great list of previews this time around:

Hi Lowmanbeach: I would try that posting of a pic here by linking as you note, but since there is no preview option, I have been hesitant to test, test, test. Will try, maybe today!

Thanks for the info. I figure I should always pass a “news” item by you for front page posting if I think it might be “newsworthy” before I go and post it here. I know you folks are busy! So, that is why I said “no luck” rather than “oh, those people.”

Happy V-Day, especially to What The! What? The Duck! So, just wondering, not teasing, just thinking, is your avatar a close personal friend and would it be appropriate to think of the words “Bat Dog” everytime I see the pic? Just wondering… Darn cute dog! And, honestly, looks like he/she already has that ducky attitude thingie.

And, now that I am truly rambling, the Lulu Duckies have strong postive feelings about the hundreds of dogs that walk by the ducky reserve and you may have seen the summertime doggie water tower by the reserve with the sign “Duckies for Doggies” — it will be back this summer.

    Take care, Ron

Lowmanbeach: BTW, love your screename! I got out finally, on the water, sailboarding off Lowman this last Wednesday afternoon. Nice north wind! Finally, a wind without snow, rain, sleet, or crappy run-off in the water… yah, baby!

Duckitude – “Edtard” was his name…You can call him “Bat Dog” or “Battard”.

I took him down to San Diego, CA in September 08 and thought he would enjoy La Jolla beach and unfortunately he chased after a hang-glider.

Are you telling me that photo of Edtard hasn’t been photo-shopped? I must say it gives me a belly laugh every time I look at him. Its precious regardless :)

What The: Amazing dog. When you say Edtard *was* his name, you make it sound like he is, well, not alive anymore… Is he alive? Or did he go off the cliff after the hang-glider?

Amazing set of teeth. He will always be Bat Dog to me, with those great ears. Makes sense he would go for the hang-glider experience…

No, Edtard, Battard, etc. wasn’t photoshopped…

Unfortunately he literally jumped off into that “Golden Sunset”…while chasing a hang-glider but the outcome wasn’t pretty…he did get airborne for quite some time but alas gravity brought him down. :(

His father “Bumper” was quite upset at the time…here’s a pic of his father moments after the accident.

Services for Edtard will be held at an “Off Leash” park pending arrangements. Bobblehead the cat will be presiding over the ceremony.

Bobble really has a way with meows…I’m sure that all creatures great and small that attend will be touched, petted, scratched, etc….

Poor Bobble he looks so broken up over the loss of his friend.

Bobble is slowly getting over such a great loss.

Still locks himself in the basement. I went downstairs this afternoon after I heard the cat door open and figured he was headed up to to the junction…not that I wanted to be a “Snoop Dog” or anything but I was a bit concerned…

And alas, to my surprise!!! I was quite pleased to see that he’s taken up paw painting…and is actually quite good!

His oil painting of Edtard (Bat Dog, Battard, Yo Ed, etc.) defines the innermost beauty of a dog struggling to be different…
