westcoastdebParticipantI am looking for handyman recommendations. I need an interior door frame replaced. I have emailed Mike @ urban builders from his reviews here, but is there anyone else I should be considering?
Thanks
Deb

charlabobParticipantHi Deb — I’d like to recommend our handyman, Dean Wollf — he’s been our handyperson pretty much since we moved to Washington — he lives in Burien but does a lot of work here in West Seattle.
He installed marvelous rails on our stairways, in and out, got great used ovens for us and installed them, did some electrical work (installing ceiling lights and some three-way switches). He’s talented, conscientious, reasonably priced — Bob and I both like working with him — he can explain things at my level (sub-novice) and at Bob’s level (son of a master electrician) and neither of us gets swamped or bored.
I couldn’t find his web page but you can find him on LinkedIn — or call:
Owner, Retrofit Maintenance and Renovation Services LLC
(This means he’s great at rehabbing/reusing/getting a few more years out of your old stuff).

Tell him Charla sent you. :-)

EmmyJaneParticipantHi WCDeb. I would highly recommend Pete Klein, who owns Klein Contractors: http://www.kleincontractorsnw.com/
He has done work for us several times and is reliable and does a great job.

carterParticipantCan’t recommend this guy any higher. We’ve used him for several years without fault for a variety of servcies. Alvaro’s a good man:

emeraldgirlParticipantHi Deb,
I was very happy with Brian Wicks (ph 206.261.2638).. he’s a hard worker and reasonably priced. I’ll be using him again in the future. Local to West Seattle, too.
