JanSParticipantsometimes there are things you simply don’t want to admit to…I know I said cheese earlier…but…my most favorite thing in the whole world is…bananas and mayo on white bread, preferably Wonder Bread…
March 19, 2008 at 4:34 am #619074
charlabobParticipantJanS, you reminded me of another of my main GPs — Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich *on rye*. Pumpernickel is the best.
March 19, 2008 at 5:41 am #619075
andreaParticipantOK, JanS and charlabob you also reminded me of 2 guilty pleasures that I don’t think of often, but crave when I think of them…cheerios and yogurt mixed together, preferrably with goopy Yami starwberry yogurt, and tuna fish sandwiches with tons and tons of pickles and mayo on sourdough bread…YUUUUUUMMMM.

JeannieParticipantReading the latest garbage about Britney, Paris, L. Lohan, and all those other celebutards. Thumbing through the “Fashion Police” pages of Us Weekly while waiting on line at the supermarket. Casting sidelong glances at The National Enquirer headlines. Going to NY Post’s Web site to indulge in cheesy writing.

KayleighMemberAw, JT, I might have to watch that just to see them!
I’ve spent several vacations in Utah and I know it sounds completely weird for a such a goat-cheese-eatin’ latte-drinkin’ grunge-raised liberal city girl, but I love it there. It’s an incredibly beautiful state and I don’t care what anybody says….the Osmonds made beautiful music (of that genre, for their time, that is.) It not that they’re so dorky they’re hip—they’re just dorky, and they don’t care. In the land of sometimes-pretentious uber-hip Seattle, that’s cool in my book.

charlabobParticipantI think we all know what to bring to the first annual WSB potluck — and, so far, it ain’t cole slaw. :-) We even have the beginnings of a sound track. Anyone for Neil Diamond and Abba, in Ipod rotation with the Osmunds???
March 19, 2008 at 2:42 pm #619080
beachdrivegirlParticipantJEannie…you made me remember another one of mine.:) And thanks for the infor JoB sorry it is to far for you…
March 19, 2008 at 2:42 pm #619081
KayleighMemberI love ABBA (guilty music pleasure, along with Bon Jovi and Shania Twain…gulp…)
March 19, 2008 at 4:45 pm #619082
GinaParticipantThe expensive chocolate covered graham crackers at Met Market, and British panel shows on youtube.
Designed to Sell, on HGTV. “Look, the house went for 30k over the asking price because we painted the fireplace, and hung some sheets on the window!”
March 19, 2008 at 5:41 pm #619083
AnonymousInactiveCan we add the Carpenters too!

BonnieParticipantMy Guilty Pleasure is Lost. And Potato Chips. And Red Wine. Put them all together and I’d be very happy.
March 19, 2008 at 6:16 pm #619085
JenVMemberJanS- FYI last time I was at Costco they were selling BIG hunks of Beecher’s Flagship for less than $10….
…and I guess in addition to not having facebook/myspace/ipod/etc I am also the only person NOT watching Lost…. :)
March 19, 2008 at 6:20 pm #619086
JanSParticipantJenV…you’re not the only one…I’ve never watched Lost either….
March 19, 2008 at 6:22 pm #619087
AnonymousInactiveJenV – If you’re interested, they have the full season, every season, at blockbuster. In fact, that is the best way to watch it!
I didn’t start watching it until last year. I don’t watch it on T.V., because I’m too impatient. So I always just wait for each season to come out on dvd. It really is entertaining!
March 19, 2008 at 7:01 pm #619088
JenVMemberNewRes- I have had a lot of people tell me that. I just don’t want to be beholden to my TV…I only have room in my life for one ongoing series and right now, I am waiting for season 2 of Terminator to come out… :)
March 19, 2008 at 7:39 pm #619089
charlabobParticipantWe watched the first season of Lost and loved it; somehow got lost and missed some of the second. (How many have there been?) Can you rent the whole season at Blockbuster? Netflix sends one disk at a time and that’s not how we do marathons.
I’m not sure if this is a guilty pleasure, but (1) Anything with Eddie Izzard and (B) The Riches — his very quirky TV series, which starts its second season on TNT this week–our Tivo awaits. If its going to season 2, someone else must have liked it. :-)

BernickiMemberEvery time I’m in the Junction, I duck into Many Moons and the Cancer Society and Senior Center thrift stores to check out what’s new. I usually buy a bunch of stuff I don’t need. But it’s fun!
March 19, 2008 at 9:05 pm #619091
SueParticipantCharla, the library has DVD sets of Lost – that’s how I got hooked on them. I thought I’d never get through 7 discs in the 2 week period, but I got obsessed enough and watched 3 seasons in 3 weeks. :) Also, the ABC website has all the episodes to watch online. When you pull up a season, you’ll have to scroll down to the bottom of the list – they have the last episode in the season appearing first. And try not to read the episode descriptions – they can be a bit spoilerish if you don’t know what’s going to happen.
Jan/Jen, I never watched Lost either until I got hooked last month and watch it all.
