[Youth Tutoring Program]

Do you support educational equity? Are you available at least one hour each week to mentor and tutor a younger student in the community? Now is the time to become a volunteer tutor for YTP!

The Youth Tutoring Program needs dedicated volunteers like YOU to be mentors and tutors for students living in West Seattle’s low and mixed income housing community, High Point. This is a great way to deeply impact others and spread your gifts this holiday season!

YTP serves a diverse group of students, many who come from immigrant and refugee families. We match tutors and students 1:1 to foster the best mentoring and tutoring relationships. We focus on skill building so that our students can catch-up and get ahead in school.

We accept tutors all year long!

There is no tutoring experience necessary to be an impactful volunteer! Not only do we train our volunteers to be effective tutors, we provide our volunteers with the tools they need (such as individualized tutor plans and skill-building activities) to make a difference!

The minimum age for volunteering is 14, and High School students are encouraged to volunteer!

Our High Point tutoring center is located at 6400 Sylvan Way SW (Room 214)
Seattle, WA 98126. Our tutoring sessions are Monday thru Thursday at 4:20-5:20PM, 5:30-6:30PM, and 6:40-7:40PM. We are in especially high need of tutors on Tuesday/Thursday afternoons at 4:20PM!
