Hi All: After the response we had at the “gala” opening of the Sterling Images Gallery (“SIG”) at 7035 Beach Drive SW (the home of truly ducky art, greeting cards, and more), we have decided to have a weekly, yes weekly, Thursday (5-10 pm) “Duckwalk” until Halloween.

The gallery will be open, the duckies will be out and about, AND, we will be holding weekly drawings for at least one adult and one child size Ducky Summer or Halloween 2009 T-Shirt or 2009 Calendar (the winner’s choice), each Thursday!

Read more about the gallery at http://www.SterlingImages.us

Two other artists are currently exhibiting — John Cerminaro and Xavier Lopez.

Duck on in every Thursday 5-10 p.m. until Halloween!

You guys really know how to have fun! Thanks for the update. You would make great WSB sponsors.

Thanks, flowerpetal. Not sure what it costs to be a sponsor, but, believe me, it’s hard enough and expensive enough running a “start-up” and producing ducky products, that it deters spending much on anything else.

The official Duckwalk Flyer is at

    http://www.duckiesrule.com/flyer.htm

Don’t forget, free stuff — one drawing every week for two prizes (one adult and one child). Prizes are choice of t-shirt or calendar.

Stopped by your Gallery last evening, and can’t wait to go back on Thursday.

What a great idea to have a Thursday Duck walk. It lets people know when you are open.

From what I saw you will get lots of attention.

    Thanks.

Hi All: Update! The first “Duckwalk” (a weekly Art Walk, but way more fun) last Thursday from 6-10 p.m. at the Sterling Images Gallery (SIG) 7035 Beach Drive SW), was great fun.

Meeting neighbors at the gallery has never been better (IMHO). As I am sure you know, the walk from Lowman Beach Park through Lincoln Park on the beach, has become the one of the most popular walker, biker, and dog walker promenades in West Seattle, and the sunsets are amazing!

Drawings for an adult and a child prize took place (choice of calendar or t-shirt or $15 worth of Duckies Rule! Greeting Cards) and the winners have been called.

Three artists are exhibiting at SIG: John Cerminaro (principal horn, Seattle Symphony), Xavier Lopez (pop-surrealist), and Ron Sterling (fine art and ducky images photography).

Come on down and do the duckwalk! BTW, the duckies call what Chuck Berry did (the “chuckwalk”)… humans call Chuck Berry’s distinctive guitar walk, the Duck Walk. Read more about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck_Walk

Irukandji: I can’t say for sure, but there may be some good LSD still around somewhere… anyone out there who can help?

Until then, just come on down and get “high” on the images!

miws: Good to see and get the history on your avatar today. Believe it or not, I had not noticed the chin extension before you noted it in our conversation today… guess I was asleep at the keyboard, so to speak.

    Wow, a chin extension. Chintastic!

Good to see you again too, Duckitude. I enjoyed the Duckwalk.

Well, I figured the chin extension might bring me luck, and result in acquiring a fortune similar to Leno’s!

So far, it hasn’t happened. ;-)

Hi Mike: Hate to break it to you this way, but you won the drawing for the adult prize for this last Thursday’s Duckwalk! Yah, ducky! Free calendar or free t-shirt or $15 worth of greeting cards… your choice.

All I can say is that it pays to do the Duckwalk every Thursday until Halloween (5-9 pm) at Sterling Images Gallery, 7035 Beach Drive SW.

If you don’t know what a Duckwalk is, it is an Art Walk, but way more fun! Interactive fun for you and the kids!

There were several entries and a child’s prize was awarded also for this last Thursday.

Read more about the weekly Duckwalk at http://www.SterlingImages.us which features three artists, John Cerminaro, Xavier Lopez, and Ron Sterling.

    Have a ducky day!

    For everyone

Wow! I feel so honored for winning, it’s brought tears to my eyes! (Or maybe it’s that I was just slicing onions. Or both! ;-) )

This has been a lucky, (and Ducky), last couple of days for me! If I figured it out correctly from the Lottery Site, I got three numbers right, on last night’s Mega-Millions drawing, which apparently is worth $7.00. Not an amount to get really excited about, but considering I rarely even match *one* number, that’s pretty darn good! But, then I only plunk a buck or two towards it when I can, when the Mega Jackpot is up there.

Reading the numbers actually gave me a bit of a start, because the other two non-Mega balls I matched, were each exactly ten digits away from those two winning numbers. Evidentally, matching those two as well, would have netted $250,000.00! But, in any regards, the Mega Ball was far enough off, I’m not screaming “AW NUTS!!” ;-)

Duckitude, I’m leaning strongly towards a T-shirt. My other choice would be a calendar. The beauty of the “T” would be to spread the Ducky Love to others, especially on my walks to Lincoln Park. When others would admire my shirt, I could simply point them toward the Ducky Reserve, to introduce them to the Ducky Love! ;-)

A calendar would be great to have above my desk, but, we still have a few months until the New Year, so there’s time yet to buy one.

Are there any size/style limits for a choosing a shirt for the prize? I would need a 2XL, style TBD, after I browse the selection some more.

Thank You Duckitude! And yes, people! Visit the Ducky Walk on Thursday evenings! *YOU* could be a winner *TOO*! :-D

Mike: You can choose any t-shirt you want, in any size you want. I don’t think we have anything bigger than XL right now, so just go to my zazzle.com store at http://www.zazzle.com/sterling_images or, for t-shirts to http://www.zazzle.com/sterling_images/tshirts

and choose what you want, then send me information at ron@duckiesrule.com and we will order it up. It takes about 8 days to get it delivered.

    Keep that ducky feeling!

Hi All: The prizes keep being won every Thursday at our Duckwalk (like an Art Walk, but more fun — “the artsiest ducks and the duckiest art”) at Sterling Images Gallery (SIG) at 7035 Beach Drive SW.

Today will be the last Duckwalk that features the interactive World’s First Ducky Water Park. It will be dismantled on Friday and the World’s First Ducky Tower of Terror will begin to appear.

Yah, World’s First Ducky Tower of Terror (like Disney World’s but duckier!).

SIG is also part of Art Walk tomorrow night, so eats and drinks are on us!

SIG is open Sundays and Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m. until Halloween (and by appointment) and features the works of three artists, John Cerminaro, Xavier Lopez, and Ron Sterling.
