IrukandjiParticipantThough we already have a fair number of overhead tabs, how about one for food and food-related news? Something to set up and retrotag in your spare time?
Time, too, for a foodie forum, separate from open discussion? What do you think?

WSBKeymasterBeen working on it a while. Only drawback with creating a new Food section is that it’ll be a while before I can retag previous posts to get ’em in there so you’d kind of be starting from scratch. If you don’t mind that, creating a new forum section is fairly easy and painless.

danielleSMemberI vote for the food tab too! We can discuss such West Seattle treasures as the gingerbread pancakes at Alki Cafe, the artichoke soup at Cactus, the croissants at Bakery Neaveau….you get the point!

alki_2008ParticipantIf we have a Forum category for Food, then would reviews or rants/raves about restaurants go in the “WSB Reader Recommendations” or “West Seattle Rants & Raves” categories, respectively…or would they all go in the Food category?

charlabobParticipantA food tab is a great idea; google doesn’t always find what you’re looking for. Garbage in — if I don’t use the right terms, searches can go awry.
WRT separate forum topic, perhaps the people who think of themselves as foodies will want to set up something moderated — so they can control the reactions to their various posts and make sure only true foodies with the appropriate attitudes and tastes are allowed in. Like some of the snobbier Boston restaurants used to do, before they discovered plebians also spent money and they needed some. :-)LOLHEHEHE
