I’ve always been enamored of Cliff Mass’s use of MODIS satellite imagery. I found this cool NASA website: https://worldview.earthdata.nasa.gov/

You can trigger different layers–I chose thermal anomalies (Fires, volcanoes) and I could clearly see the Lake Chelan wildfire.

I highly recommend rooting around, and it’s not just West Seattle, its our whole world.
