I really liked Dr. Knapp over at Minor & James, who I saw a few months ago. He specializes in nose/sinus/apnea issues. Spent a lot of time listening to me, and not immediately surgery happy. When we did talk about sinus surgery (I asked), he was very honest about the fact that it might not correct the issue I had (which was a change over doctors who promise you the moon). http://www.minorandjames.com/directory/people/show/calvin-knapp

I have recently began seeing Dr.Kathleen Stickney at the Polyclinic downtown. She is very helpful and also not surgery-happy. Very patient and really listens to what you have to say.

I also see Dr. Calvin Knapp at Minor and James and think he is great. I have chronic sinus issues that lead quickly to ear infections and ruptured eardrums – no fun at all! I am very happy with the care I receive.

I’ve also recently seen Dr. Knapp and will probably use him in the fall for sinus surgery. However I strongly recommend you avoid Dr. Chan who is one of his partners.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr Green in Burien. He just did my sinus surgery and I’m so impressed with him, his staff and his surgery center.

PLEASE try acupuncture it is the only thing I found to have helped my chronic sinus infections and I like YOU were about to delve into the world of a possible incredibly painful sinus surgery.

Open 7 days a week and they have a sliding scale!

Good luck to you…I know how painful it is.

Thanks all, Dr. Stickney won’t see new ear patients.

For those of you who recommended Minor and James, have you tried any of Dr. Knapp’s partners (other than Dr. Chan)? He doesn’t work with small children.

Dr. Hoistad, Dr. Palaskas, or Dr. Burgoyne are Knapp’s partners. Really don’t want a surgery-happy dr. either, yikes!
