    Got this note. I haven’t had a chance to get it onto home page so surfacing it here on the offhand chance someone saw or heard of it:

Last night when I got home, about 10:30 PM, I saw the biggest damn shooting star ever, streaking Southeast, apparently over Vashon…toward the end of its flight it turned into a fireball. I was wondering if anyone else saw it, and if it might have been debris from the two satellites that crashed yesterday.<<<<<

    I think the telemetry showed that the collision was over Siberia and at orbits that were far north of Seattle. So even if some of the debris made it around to our side it would have been too far north of us to see it.

    All the cool meteorites/satellites fall over Siberia! What’s up with that?

    Jeff Renner did say something about a comet/meteorite on last night’s (5:00) news and for the life of me, I can’t find it – my online skills are failing me tonight. He was talking about how both Venus and Saturn are bright now and pretty sure he was saying that the other was coming, so it sounds like the timing would be right. Sorry so lame on my facts, I’ll keep looking…

    WesCAddle: Methinks it is the same phenomenon as the way the UFO’s only seem to land in rural places and as such are never happened upon by MIT professors but instead are seen only by beer-drinking good ‘ol boys in recreational vehicles. Must have something to do with obscure Martian union rules.

    The other phenomena with UFO’s that is their amazing ability to make camera’s go out of focus or extremely shaky.
