ekateMemberI’m looking for a new dry cleaner in West Seattle, after having a bad experience at the place we’ve been using for the past couple years since we moved here. Ideally, it would be somewhere between Morgan Junction and the bridge. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

celeste17ParticipantWe have used Wardrobe cleaners (Fauntleroy and Oregon) for as long as I can remember and have had good experiences always. Once we took Mom’s winter coat there and they kept it an extra couple of days to really try to get the stains out. They called and said we aren’t happy with the way the coat looks after our usual cleaning can we keep it an extra couple days to dry a deeper cleaning.

cjboffoliParticipantI second Celeste’s recommendation for Wardrobe. I think they might have recently changed owners. But the service has remained meticulous and professional. I trust them to take good care of everything, from hand-stitched linen napkins and runners to bespoke British shirts. Their alteration and repair services are also high-quality with fast turn-around.
.
With that said, I’d really love if someone would open a local dry cleaner that uses CO2 as their cleaning agent instead of perc. Even if you take care to air out dry cleaned items after you bring them home, the chemical residues can really degrade indoor air quality. CO2-based garment cleaning has been around for more than a decade. You’d think that there would be a market for it around here.

lmharrisMemberI’m also looking for a new cleaner in WS, ideally along California Ave. Also would prefer one that does in-house cleaning and provides an itemized receipt as well as while reasonably priced. Suggestions?
