HomerParticipantHi everyone,
Does anyone know if the police still like to get clean small stuffed animals to keep in their patrol cars for when they come around a “bad scene” and need to comfort kids? If so, let me know as I have a bunch I’d love to give to this cause.
Thanks!

celeste17ParticipantI know that the Thunderbirds hockey team does a teddy bear toss once in a while and donates all the stuffed animals to the police. So I know that they take new animals but don’t know about gently used. You might go by the precinct on Delridge and ask or call the precinct.

MargLMemberToday at the fire station open house (37) I noticed a stash of stuffed animals under a table in the office. I asked if they take donations and they said sure, just drop them off at the station. They do like to have them on hand for calls when kids are involved.

loodaleParticipantThanks for the link to the Teddy Bear patrol!
Just a quick FYI about the Thunderbirds – they had their Teddy Bear toss a couple of weeks ago during a game against Portland – it was a huge success. There were tons of stuffed animals thrown onto the ice.
They won’t have another one until next season, but the toss is in conjunction with the Warm 106.9 Teddy Bear Patrol, so it would be best to contact them for donations.
The teddy bear toss is a fun event, however, so you should check it out next year!
