kvkParticipantKind comments from pet lovers only please
We have a new small dog that we would like to expose to many different kinds social situations. We is not a service animal, but we would like to eventually train him to be a companion to our handicapped daughter. Yes, we are aware of all the laws of service animals, and no we don’t want to go that route. We are simply looking for dog-friendly stores and restaurants for the exposure for now. We saw a post on this back from 2011 and we know that there are many opinions on the matter. Please be kind and keep any negative thoughts to yourselves. We want to be respectful to all and do not have any intention of “using the service animal excuse”. Thank you.November 3, 2018 at 6:19 pm #932613

EdSaneParticipantBeverage Place (21+) & Beer Star (all ages) are two drinking establishments that are dog friendly. If the new dog is a pup I recommend visiting Puppy Perfectors over in Columbia City. They run a puppy playtime on Sundays which is all about socialization.

LoveWSParticipantPlease be kind and do not take your dog to true value, or qfc, or clothing stores. Dogs do not have fun there and neither do people with allergies. Please take your dog to Lincoln Park and other outdoor places where they will actually have fun. This is not meant to be a negative comment rather more a comment to the person who suggested true value. We saw a dog the other night eating next to their owner at Eliott bay brewery in Burien…y.u.c.k.
