Communications Operator

Providence is calling a Communications Operator- On Call to Providence Mount St Vincent in Seattle, WA.

This requires weekend shifts of Saturday 8:30am – 5:00 pm and Sunday 5:00pm – 11:00pm.

We are seeking an individual who will provide the exceptional customer service while working quickly and efficiently.

In this position you will:

• Answer all incoming calls into the facility’s main telephone lines and in house operator calls.

• Provide in person visitor information, reception, and paging.

• Coordinate all emergency communications. monitor Alarm Panels, handle all Fire and Disaster Drills and operate two-way radios.

Required qualifications for this position include:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English

• Previous customer service experience

• Must accurately type a minimum of 45 wpm

• Ability to work weekends – Saturday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

• Ability to work part time, variable hours between 8 – 20 hours a week.

• Experience answering multiple phone lines

• Experience dealing with emergency situations and able to think on your feet in a fast paced environment.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Experience operating a switchboard

• Experience in a medical environment

• Proficiency in operating a computer

• Ability to multi-task
