jjlcParticipantWe are a young couple with a baby and are looking for Christian church recommendations. We are pretty open (not denomination-specific) and are looking for a church with a more contemporary service. Any suggestions? Thanks!

WSBKeymasterHave you checked out West Seattle Christian Church? We have not attended but know one of their pastors as he is very involved in many Junction events, including some we have co-sponsored, like the movie series. I seem to recall they have two services, one more traditional, one more contemporary.

celeste17ParticipantWe go to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church on 35th across from the water towers. Father Jack is the pastor there and is very nice. They have a school attached to the church also. I know they do community events through out the year. http://www.olgseattle.org

cclarueMemberjjlc, I would highly recommend Taproot Church it is christian and bible based. It is located on 1st ave so in burien desmoines at 204th. The pastor is young and has 3 small children himself. I used to attend Grace Church and switched because of the huge difference I felt from the sermons at Taproot. It is a small church and growing and worth the drive for sure. My friend comes down from shoreline every sunday. I know Mars Hill is a popular church in West seattle proper, however the pastor speaks at the ballard location and has video streamed in to west seattle. I prefer to actually see my pastor but mars hill has a huge congregation so it must not be a big deal for alot of people. What is nice about taproot is it is easy to get to know people and get plugged into a christian community on a more personal level.
