    This is a longshot, but…

About 7 years ago, I bought one of two pianos for sale from the Gatewood Hill church(don’t recall the name). The one I chose was a mission style, taller upright. It’s great, however the bench that was delivered clearly belonged to the much smaller piano also for sale at the time. I didn’t notice until much too late and recently was given the idea to inquire here as to whether someone out there who bought the other is regretting the too tall bench they were delivered. Anyone? Perhaps you know someone who did?

Do you know for sure that the other piano was sold?

When I toured the church – now the Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation church, previously (briefly) Seattle International Church, and Gatewood Baptist Church before that – I seem to recall a beautiful piano. Maybe it was a holdover. You might call the WSUU’s to see if they have any ideas for you to trace this. Their contact info would be online:

I don’t believe the WSUU piano was there when the building was bought (I was on the board at the time of the sale) – I seem to recall that it was a donation sometime last summer. But certainly doesn’t hurt to check. You can email the office at office@wsuu.org to ask.
