Just returned from a walk from Gatewood into Lincoln Park via the little side entrance just north of the South parking lot (between Thistle and the south lot, on Fauntleroy). In the Picnic area near the upper shelter there was a well groomed man with several duffle bags actively using (what I assume to be) drugs via a needle in his arm. I encountered this same man several weeks ago in the same general area, but last time he was camping in a tent which I did not notice until I was within 15 feet of it.
Todays incident was especially disturbing because of the proximity to the play area where several parents/kids were playing just a few hundred feet away.
I did not have my phone but did notify some parks employees who said they would go check the area out.
I will now be carrying my phone with me and walking another way, but just want to let others in the community know to be more cautious in that area.
