dhgParticipantI watched the video. It is historically inaccurate but it shouts out in plain English: What God has put together, let no man put asunder. So, isn’t it an ad to remove divorce from the books???? I don’t recall any scripture of Jesus proclaiming marriage as something between a man and a woman. They were just tossing that in for effect, but really, there is the plain and simple language right there that would have us ban divorce. Don’t these dingbats even listen to their own stuff?

I’m surprised that the Ref 71 people haven’t put up propaganda posters like the ones from WWII showing German soldiers with fangs and blood dripping out as they chase children.
After all, you know that all of us gays and lesbians are pedophiles – that’s why their petitions said that Ref 71 was to “protect children”. Gee – I guess all the heterosexual pedophiles out there like in the Garrido/Duggard case are just looking to get married!

Why isn’t there an initiative from the Religious Wrong for that? If 71 is disapproved perhaps I will start one.
Will the celebrity ministers of Seattle support the strict biblical interpretation?

bluebirdMemberThe modern church will never stand up against divorce or in favor of equal marriage laws. They would lose half their congregation forbidding divorce and have nothing to bitch about if they accepted gays. Murder, rape, assault, child abuse, theft, all so passe. Persecuting gays is were the real money is at.

i do support gay marriage..
but legalizing gay marriage would still not help all those who are given the same kind of legal rights that those who marry get.
the domestic partnership law does that.
