funkietooParticipantSeriously. Someone went through my car last night and the only thing they took was one of my two boots. Purchased these boots in Nashville during a business trip, so in order to replace them, I’d have to go back to Nashville (which is not all bad).
Anyway, thinking taking one boot is like a prank and they may just toss it somewhere, so please be on the look out! The car theft took place at 46th and Charlestown. Thanks

miwsParticipantBump.
Hope your boot turns up, funkietoo.
It always angers me when jerks steal stuff. Even more so, that the victim is someone I “know” from our WSB Community, and even more so, when it’s someone that has been such a positive contributor to the West Seattle Community as a whole.

Garden_nymphMemberThe boots sound beautiful! We’re on the look out. Best luck for the return of your boot. Mean people suck!

I know this is going to be hard for you to hear, but is it possible that your boot ran off with one of those hot little trapeze numbers that went missing two months ago?
If you’re determined to pursue this, I think Nashville is probably a good place to start looking. But before you go down there just ask yourself something: Are you sure you’ll want that boot back when you do find it?

funkietooParticipantThanks everyone. They are really cool boots, so hoping on of my neighbors may find the missing one in their yard…hopefully not too trashed.
DP–LOL! My next trip to Nashville won’t be until 2013–when they host the annual HSUS Animal Care Expo. May just have to buy myself two or three pairs!

FranciParticipantFunkietoo,
Several years ago I purchased a new pair of leather shoes from a store in downtown Seattle, my next stop was at a nearby B of A to do some banking. When I got home I realized I didn’t have the bag with my shoes. I called the bank, they said they had my bag, I ran right down to get it. Well wouldn’t you know – I only had one shoe in the bag – someone had lifted the other shoe.. why only take one? I went next door to the shoe store with no expectations – I explained what had happened – they were very gracious and replaced the missing shoe at no charge to me. If you have the contact info for the shop where you purchased them – perhaps they would be willing to replace your missing boot? Its a worth a try. :)
Good Luck!
Franci
