The Alki Art Fair is looking for an Auction Chair volunteer. If you’d like to be a part of our 20th year celebration Fundraising Chair the description is as follows:
Fundraising Chair Responsibilities:
• Develop the fundraising strategy for Board approval
• Develop and organize fundraising events such as:
• Fundraising dinner and live auction
• Artist presentations/talks
• Research and perform outreach for prospective sponsors, donors, and grant opportunities (September-January)
• Work with the Board and Director to find outreach activities to attend
• Research potential grants and begin application process
• Write proposals for prospective sponsors (January- March)
• Research and reach out to new sponsors
• Create relationship with sponsors
• Write and submit grants (September – January)
• Research potential new grants
• Write grant proposals/applications
• Follow up with grants received and complete reports as needed
• Work with treasurer to track and report how grant moneys were used
• Maintain database of potential grants including everything applied for and not received
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all sponsors and donors (January – July)
• Communicate with sponsors and donors
• Answer any questions they may have
• Send thank you letters after the event to strengthen the relationship
• At will, research art awards and recognition work
