for the same view, i go to the fish and chips place at the water taxi dock… great view!

and i am relieved to hear everyone’s comments about endoline joes… we ate there and found the atmosphere sort of amusing, the food inconsistent and the prices exaggerated.. but i didn’t want to step on any local toes so have kept quiet:)

Unfortunately I have to agree with the Joe’s remarks. My husband and I would frequent it weekly, taking in the scene and visiting with the staff. Well, our staff friends have since left for various reasons. Our last visit about 2 months ago left us very disappointed with the staff and food quality. We won’t be back unless we hear through the grapevine that things have improved.

I DO highly recommend JaK’s for the brunch idea. I’ve not yet taken advantage of this new dining time, but it’s got to be just as delicious as their dinners. We were just there on Friday ;)

Interesting. I’ve not been to Joe’s for brunch, but for dinner I enjoy it quite a bit. Every once in a while the rotating theme menu won’t tickle my fancy, but usually it’s pretty good stuff.

I agree with whomever pointed out that ultimately Joe’s is a chain restaurant. It’s not going to be quite the same as a more “trendy” cutting-edge place, but in my opinion that means it’s also going to be more reliable.

    YMMV of course!

I personally like Salty’s. I haven’t been to Endolyne Joe’s for a few months, but I enjoyed the food there, I just get there very early for brunch because if not then it is loud and the service does start to suck. For the person that suggested Red Robin…for brunch, really?

I can’t believe no one has mentioned the Alki Cafe – fantastic. They can take a larger group – just call ahead.

    Salty’s is overpriced and overrated.

Am I the only person who thinks Alki Cafe is not good? I want it to be good so bad, great location, and that area is needing a yummy breakfast place. I went to the Alki Cafe for breakfast a couple of months ago, and won’t be back, ever. Sorry, it must be the more than 20 years in the food biz.

I can think of a ton of really amazing places to eat breakfast that truly are stellar.

Please don’t take it personally if you Alki C. It’s my opinion.

Again thanks to all who gave their suggestions, I can’t wait for brunch! It’s the true Brunch experience I’m looki’n for.

Salty’s is a great place for “promsters” and your out-of-town guests. However, the food is mediocre, the prices ridiculous. The view is fantastic, but you can get that just by walking along the shore.

Alki Cafe and Endolyne Joe’s sad dissapointments. For good brunch and ambience go to Blackbird. For GREAT brunch go to LUNA PARK! :)

If you go to Luna Park with a group bigger than 2 I would suggest getting there very early since they fill up.

So, what do people like at Luna Park? I’ve eaten there numerous times and like the whole 50’s diner theme, but the food seems to be stuck in that time period as well. Pretty much just like what I can make at home. I realize the outdoor patio is awesome in the summertime (and that’s half the experience), but are there certain items on the menu that I’m missing? What are people’s favorites?

Village, I think the nostalgia must be blinding. I find their food to be mostly ok.

I like the Italian scramble or hobo. I haven’t been there for a while for breakfast so that could be an inaccurate name for the menu item. I would drink one of their milkshakes every day too if I could get away with it!!! And I love listening to the oldies tunes.

Oh, that post was in reference to Luna Park Cafe too.

I realize this is somewhat off topic but I agree with all the disappointing experiences at Endolyne Joes. I have eaten their 4 times and yet to be pleasantly surprised or redeemed. I have given up on this eatery. I tried a variety of offerings and everything fell short of my expectations.
