clark5080ParticipantI disagree that the main problem on 35th is Speeding. I grant you there are a lot of speeders but this morning on my way to a Dr Appt within less that a block at about 9:45 I saw two women cross busy 35th in the HighPoint area right in the middle of the block. Not at a crosswalk and not at a corner. They refused to walk less than 100 feet to get to a corner to cross. And they were wearing high heels and jogging across 35th and one had to wait in the center line to finish her journey. I have seen numerous people doing this at night also. It’s not all the drivers that are crazy
Sometimes people are so stupid

wsn00bParticipantI’m too busy swerving around potholes and ruts to notice pedestrians. #sarcasm

trickycooljParticipantI had the same problem on California between Admiral and Alaska last night around dusk. People in dark clothes running across the road mid-block where you least expect to come across them. It’s just plain stupid. We can’t see you in dark clothes lurking between parallel parked cars/trucks taller than you at 7:55pm with barely light conditions. The A-pillars (between windshield and door) are very thick on my car making it hard to see people dart out making it extra scary when I do see them. I hear Honda thankfully redesigned it in future models but makes me paranoid driving in pedestrian heavy areas.
The worse place I’ve come across for offenders lately though is Aurora through lower Queen Anne where there is a cement divider in the center and people run across 3 lanes wearing all black well after 10-11pm and sit on the center divider waiting to cross the next 3. Spooks me every time! Dude just sitting on the divider mere inches from the left lane! I pitty the driver that eventually will hit one of these crazy “pedestrians” it will be a nightmare.
