VBDParticipantSome days the cars left behind by ferry riders just gets out of hand. Today is one of those days.
I really wish a new solution for ferry riders who need a car waiting for them could be arranged. Why not have the cars park at the dock rather than in the adjacent neighborhood?

mommymParticipantI live on Fauntleroy (2 blocks from ferry dock) where obviously there is no parking. We purchase parking passes to be able to accommodate our vehicles and today we are not able to park on own cars on the side street. There are 4 2Go cars taking up our spaces. While I can appreciate the benefits this program offers – it ticks me off that I can’t even park in my own neighborhood.

WSBKeymasterWould love to have a photo. Every time we’ve gone out to check on reports like this (and I can’t go out right now, am trying to finish a long-overdue story before going to another story interview at 3 pm) they’re gone … so if you see a cluster of them, please send, even a camphone pic is fine: editor@westseattleblog.com – we mentioned this in our recent FCA coverage but I had no pic to go with it.

VBDParticipantI’ll grab a picture if I can; at work right now. You can also verify the number by taking a look a the website:
https://www.car2go.com/en/seattle/
The map will give a sense of how crowded it can become.
Also note that nearly half of the streets in the tiny Fauntleroy parking zone do not allow parking on one or both sides of the road.

CMPParticipantBased on the car2go parking rules, cars can be left in an RPZ which is really unfortunate for homeowners near the ferry dock. Not cool!

kgdlgParticipantseems like a Car2go drop zone would be worth it on fauntleroy near the dock, opposite the side of the ferry line up (east side of street?)
