WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Stolen green motor scooter

The photo and report were sent by Ella:

We had a Vespa style scooter stolen from outside of our home on Beach Drive between 10 pm and 10 am this morning. We are sending this information in case anyone spots this in west Seattle.

Make: Genuine
Model: Buddy (2007)
Color: sage green
License plate: 5L0248
Has a silver front rack
Has Bucket trunk in the back to store a helmet
Has a green sticker that says “south sound scooters”

Note that the rack was added after the photo was taken. Call 911 if you see it.

Thanks for posting! We are super bummed. It had a black cover and two different wheel locks on it when it was stolen. We appreciate any information if any one has seen anything. It was parked just across from La Rustica.

Aww, that sucks! I’ll keep an eye out. I used to have almost this exact model (2008 Genuine Buddy International edition, 150cc) in the Pamplona colorway. It’s a distinctive scoot… Fingers crossed Ella gets it back!

I live on 35th and Barton , I’ll keep my eyes peeled for your Ella. I recently had my tool bag lifted out of my jeep.

Might have seen this this morning on the gravel road between lower highland Park Way and Riverview playfields. A guy was pulling out heading down hill when we walked by. Was the same shape, I thought I saw silver but my friend saw green- morning light, old eyes… Will keep an eye out now that we know. Hope she is returned to you.

I may have seen it on a major trail of the West Duwamish Greenbelt at around 1130 am, heading down toward Highland Park Way. It was definitely sage green and it struck me as odd that the male driver (didn’t see much due to a black helmet) was driving in the greenbelt. I can’t offer a lot more than that, but I did call 911. Hope you get it back!

Thanks for letting us know! There was a black helmet that had stickers on it that was inside the scooter seat storage. I’m glad you called 911. We let them know too of your observations!
