‘Close To Home has been an amazing place for me after leaving a high-stress job. Being outside, exercising, and connecting with animals is the perfect antidote for career burnout and has helped tremendously with my depression and anxiety. Plus, the miles I’m walking have conditioned me enough so I can do all the hikes that seemed out of reach previously.’
This is a smaller (woman’s size) ring found in the park. If you lost it, describe it and I’ll get it to you!
Missing -> 3 birthday cards (nice ones with plastic around them) in a small CVS Health plastic bag (from CVS Health store on California Ave. SW). My relative was on foot and put them inside coat pocket after purchasing and somehow didn’t make it into pocket safely enough to walk home (or partially and then fell out while walking).
Hello neighbors! A bright red mountain bike was stolen from our garage this morning between approximately 6:45 AM and 7:15 AM.
If you live on or near 30th Ave SW and have any video or photo footage from that time frame, could you please take a quick look for anyone driving off with a bike or riding/walking a bike? We’re on a steep hill, so the person may have either sped downhill or been walking it uphill.
Any information or footage you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help!Topic: TV Mounting recommendation
Looking for a recommendation for mounting a TV. Has anyone had a great experience with a local company or person for TV wall mounting? Thank you.
Our furnace died unexpectedly two weeks ago, and we called Greenwood in a bit of a panic. They were great. Techs arrived the day we called; because we were “no heat” clients, we were bumped to the top of the list for services. Within hours, they had provided four space heaters to get us through the weekend, and on Monday a crew arrived to install a new heat pump. By Tuesday, the process was complete. The techs were not only very professional, they were friendly and very courteous. Five stars plus to Greenwood.

Toyota key fob, blue piece of water ski rope, house key and funky/RV key, West Seattle Health Club fob as well.Hello,
I’m the mother of a 2 1/2 year old and finding it incredibly frustrating how few low cost or free activities exist for us to participate in after I get off work in the evenings. It seems every parent activity in our area is designed for stay-at-home parents (generally moms). We’ve done everything I can think of – joined the West Seattle Health Club, go to The Little Gym but it shouldn’t require us to pay over a hundred dollars a month for every activity our child participates in, not to mention the inflexibility of time associated with these small windows of availability. Have others found other things to do with their kids in the evenings during these long dark months? Thank you!Update 11-22: I received quite a few responses and am currently reviewing and responding at this time. Thank you!

blair@admiral-electric.comJust trying to verify that I am following the rules of the road. I have seen people make contradicting comments here in the blog.
For traffic circles (rules of the road) is this correct?
1. Traffic circles are considered “circular intersections.”
RCW 46.04.1182. Follow any STOP or YIELD signs at the circle.
RCW 46.61.1903. If the circle has no control signs:
The first vehicle to arrive goes first.
RCW 46.61.180If two vehicles arrive at the same time, the vehicle on the right has the right-of-way; the vehicle on the left yields.
RCW 46.61.1804. Always drive to the right of the circle (counter-clockwise around the island).
