I just left the Safeway in Jefferson square.. Somebody let their “furry child” SHI*

all over the floor in the soft drink aisle.

The poor clerk from Safeway didn’t sign up for this crap – excuse the pun.

If you can’t be responsible for your pets, do not bring them to a grocery store. Matter of fact if you can’t be responsible DON’T get a pet.

Whoever’s pet left this mess for the poor clerk, you should be ashamed of yourself. If any of you have ever done this, YOU should be ashamed of yourselves.

      Come at me.

It is interesting, why they chose to list that one cost out of all their expenses. Why did they decide you needed to know about that one? Why not list a charge for a % of their garbage pickup? Or electric bill? In my opinion, the Eco cost is just another business expense that should be included in the cost of their service. By listing only that one it feels like they have an agenda, making some sort of point by wanting their customers to know.

    Company: Green Wagon Cleaning
    Pay Rate: $22 – $28 an hour
    Location: Seattle
Join a special team! Help to engineer happiness one house at a time!

We are looking for home cleaners, working every day Monday through Friday to join our team at Green Wagon Cleaning! We pride ourselves on a win-win culture, customer-focused environment where both cleaners and their clients are considered customers, who should be nurtured, listened to, inspired, and cultivated to have their best lives and do their best work!

We are looking for one paid driver + cleaner, and one person who is a cleaning assistant who does not need a car, but should be able to use public transit to get themselves to and from work efficiently. 3+ days a week for each, with room to grow! Hours we are open are 8AM and 5PM, and shifts require the new employee to work a whole shift with a team, so no solo work, no split shifts and no weekends.

Our moto is “from our love to your home!” And we put that energy and focus on compassion and caring at the forefront of every single thing that we do. Our cleaners are provided all the materials, support, training and encouragement to bring out their best in themselves, our client’s houses, and in our community! We keep and maintain only the best, most caring clients, and we hire and nurture and employ only the best cleaners to fulfill that mission! What kind of clients would you be helping?

Our primary business is about client relationships! We are primarily recurring service house cleaners, so most all our business is a) in the Seattle City Limits, and b) is recurring cleanings that happen at least once a month, mostly on an every other week basis. We help individuals, families, and their pets get the most out of their lovely abodes! We love our clients, and they love us back! We don’t keep relationships that don’t work for both parties, so no “picky” clients – we only create and foster relationships that encourage us to be our very best.

How are our Green Home Cleaners Prepared for their job? Our home cleaners work in teams of two and are carefully mentored and shadowed. They are hand trained on our tools, supplies, and techniques in the field! No online video courses – only one on one mentoring We provide you the quality checklists you need to check your own work once the one to one mentoring process is past. You are also mentored and encouraged by your senior crew members, who care about investing in your success!

What does the job entail? Five days a week to start, an average of 6.5 hours per day working with the team The team works together all day – no split shifts, no “only mornings” or “only afternoons” schedules Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8AM to 5PM. No weekends or national holidays (please refer to our handbook for covered national holidays) The job entails general house beautification, which is composed of full cleaning of exterior and appliance surfaces of kitchen and bathrooms, dusting, primping of common areas, pet hair mitigation and general furniture beautification, making beds, taking out trash and recycling, plus vacuuming and mopping of floors Also includes bonus rounds like making little magical scenes out of stuffed animals for kids to discover, and petting dogs and cats and administering treats, when offered. It entails having an open heart and mind, a friendly and fun attitude, and a willingness to be at a job where everyone genuinely cares about one another and their clients and coworkers.

I recently tried a new salon & the hair cut and general experience were fine. However when I got home & looked at the emailed receipt I saw a charge titled “Green Circle eco fee,” so I looked it up & see that it’s a recycling service offered to salons that recommends offsetting the cost of their services by charging customers directly.

I’m still sorting through how I feel about the fee itself – by not absorbing the costs & raising service prices accordingly my stylist’s rate was lower & therefore my tip was lower… so it sort of saved me money because I didn’t tip on this fee. That is more transparent… but I don’t love having an itemization of your business costs, that’s your business.

However the thing that will probably make me look elsewhere for service is that NO WHERE on their website or in the lengthy cancellation policy I had to acknowledge (that I actually read) do they tell you about this fee. The first time I became aware of this was when I looked at my receipt; so any goodwill for transparency for separating out this cost is diminished.

I have reached out to the salon asking them about this & am waiting to hear back.

Thoughts on the fee itself (it was $4)?
Thoughts on itemizing such fees as opposed to burying them in the service prices?
Thoughts on not explaining the fee upfront or discussing it on their webpage?

Service station recommended a clump of dryer sheets tied under the hood. Internet suggested moth balls. Rodents and squirrels don’t like the odor. I don’t recommend moth balls as the odor may come inside the vehicle and it’s not o.k. for people to continually smell moth balls.
