    Moving! Must sell!

I’m selling my gorgeous king mattress and bed frame because I’m moving to Los Angeles. It’s a WONDERFUL mattress, completely spotless and clean. No animal hair, no smoke, zero stains. Always has a cover on it. SUPER comfortable and nearly brand new. Barely used. I’m sad to have to sell it. JCPenney iseries top of the line.

Comes with beautiful wooden bed frame and box springs.

    $950 for all! A steal!!

Female parakeet, Lacie is about 4 yo and is in need of a new home. She comes with her cage and toys.
This apartment complex does not allow birds and keeping her in the bathroom is not a good situation for her. Her senior boyfriend recently passed so she lonely and really needs to be out where she can interact with people.
Lacie is lovely blue and white.

KBear: Not sure you read or understood the jist of my whole post, but I absolutely understand this group IS real (didn’t say it wasn’t) and I’m in no way advocating for them (“not a clue who this person is”, “IMO”) but carry on. I’m VERY aware of what is going on in our country and community and for you to suggest otherwise is just “false” but you too are entitled to your opinion.

Jissy, this hate group is real, and these devils don’t need you to advocate for them. Please pay attention to what is going on in our country and our community. Standing up against hate is NOT the same as intolerance. You know what IS dangerous? False equivalencies.

Nothing like the tolerating the intolerant. Only the intolerant win.

The Proud boys are all about violence and I’m willing to bet that if the sticker is on the vehicle then the driver is likely the one who put it there.

In my youth I didn’t play 20 questions with skinheads before jumping them. They had laces and braces, flights and shaved heads, they got jumped. I’m happy add the Proud Boys to the list.

Guess what folks, the water is warming up and you’re the frogs. Just how warm does it have to get?

I have no dog in this fight and not a clue who this person is but I just want to play devil’s advocate for a moment… how do you know this person didn’t buy this vehicle with the exhisting sticker on it? Before reading your links I’d never heard of this group and would otherwise have no clue had I bought this vehicle. And profiling him: “He certainly fit the profile, millenial-age white male with a “fashy” haircut.” is just as dangerous & potentially discriminatory IMO. You could be right, but you could be very wrong…. I think we all need to be very careful in this arena.

Some people are shy. Trust me. And shyness can be mistaken for gruffness.

Anyway, we have lived not far from the uppermost end of those stairs for a quarter-century and walk past the top of them multiple times every day. Walked the stairs many times in younger years. There are always runners and joggers using them (though I’ve never seen more than a couple at a time). They are not a “park” as described above but an actual SDOT right-of-way – with Seattle’s hills, more than a few streets include stretches of stairway where it was too steep for a street to be built. The top stretch has only one house bordering it (though there has been a long-pending proposal for another one) but the lower stretch, which is less steep, goes between houses, most if not all with fenced yards. Anyway, whichever stretch, it’s public property, so it belongs to you, and to all of us. – TR

On my way down Avalon in to work this morning I passed a silver Jeep Wrangler with a Proud Boys sticker on his rear window. He certainly fit the profile, millenial-age white male with a “fashy” haircut.

People of color please beware, these cowards like to fight unfairly:

And more from the Southern Poverty Law Center, pay particular attention to the quotes from the group’s co-founder:

If you can find something on the Beach Drive side of Alki, you’ll absolutely love it! You’ll be within a short walk to the beach and amenities of Alki Avenue, but won’t have any of the nuisance, even in the summer. We live on the corner of 60th and Charlestown, and we get very little of the cruising and resulting noise and littering. We bought two years ago, and we often marvel at our fortune. I’m never moving ever again. :)

Our take: Winters (and much of fall and spring) are sublime. It’s so quiet and always beautiful! The point gives you two very different beach experiences, and lovely to stick in a kayak and cruise. Summers are crazy busy, but the mornings are usually serene. I love the way you can get downtown w/out a car so easily (bike, bus or water taxi). Those little libraries are popping up everywhere, and dogs and their people become acquaintances quickly. I think we’re all looking forward to seeing what goes in those empty storefronts along the beach; really could use something like a Cone and Steiner market!
There’s not a lot of real estate available; I’d say go for it if you can.

My wife and I lived near the corner of 63rd & Admiral for about 2 & 1/2 years and absolutely loved it! As long as you have a dedicated parking space it really is a fantastic neighborhood to live in. The weekends can get a little hectic with throngs of people coming out but if you’re walking distance to Alki Ave it’s awesome. The only reason we left was our rental was purchased by a developer who wanted to jack rents by 25% and we had the opportunity to buy near Westwood so we took it but if my rents had stayed the same or only increased 10% or so we’d still be living up there.

Weekend nights can get a little loud from the race cars and loud motorcycles racing around but adding a little insulation to your windows and some blackout blinds reduces that problem quite a bit.

If you choose to buy up there I wish you the best and hope you have as great of a time there as I did. :)

We found a men’s gold ring in Me Kwa Mooks park Friday the 20th of July.

There is a year on the sides of the ring, and three initials engraved on the interior. The person who knows those two things gets their ring back.
