I need a 20+ tooth per inch, plain end, scroll saw blade. I’m making puzzles for my daughters Campfire troupe out of pictures that they made for their moms, but I don’t have any spare blades. NONE of the local hardware stores carry them, and Amazon won’t get it to me until next week. To be extra clear about the blade, I cannot use the pin end type on my particular scroll saw. The Firebird Campfire troupe thanks you!!!

You misspelled Whinesalot. And Eleven. That work was permitted by the City of Seattle on 3/5/2020, permit #6775119-CN. I am guessing the project met all the legal requirements. Cell tower arrays have been allowed on that rooftop since 2015.

Unfortunately it seems we lost a wallet yesterday on our walk. It’s a small Coach wristlet wallet that was lost on 5/4 between Salty’s and Blue Moon.

No questions asked and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

The quality and size of bike trails are often a problem. I-90 and the low bridge are very wide, completely protected. Excellent. I agree with you about Alki. One of the best set ups is Admiral way, it is not that wide, but instead of two way, which can be scary, there are bike lanes on each side of Admiral going in opposite directions. Its one of my favorites. Much more comfortable than the Second Avenue Bike Lane down town.

Looking for a local carpenter who could make a couple of wooden boxes for me. One will be a light box, the other would be a box with a hinged lid. If anyone could recommend somebody, I’d appreciate it.

    Hi,
Over the last week, someone stole my black Diamondback women’s mountain bike. It has a black gel seat, a rack on the back for a baby seat and the chain is broken, as are the front brakes. It has a black U-lock, headlight on the front, brake light on the back and quick release tires. It was outside in the process of being fixed, but has now disappeared. If someone took it, they had to be pushing it, as it was not in working order for someone to ride it off. If anyone sees it dumped somewhere, please let me know.

    Thanks.

Good for your partner, taking care of his safety since the airlines will not. These employees, and customers, need to be protected. American, United, Delta, Jet Blue, and Frontier are all requiring flight attendants to wear face masks. Further, now American, Delta, Frontier are even requiring passengers to wear face masks. FINALLY! I have written several letters to Alaska Airlines but they still won’t even require their flight attendants to wear face masks.

Costco now requires every employee AND every customer entering a warehouse to wear a face mask. Costco gets it. An airplane cabin is very different from a Costco warehouse. The air cabin is very small and confined. You cannot avoid being closer than 6 feet with other people. Plus, you are confined for several hours. We saw what happened on cruise ships. When will the rest of the airlines get their act together and protect their employees and customers?

The port bus situation was per my partner, who is a flight attendant based in Sea-Tac. I’m sure things change but the last time he flew, the port bus was packed, people were not being hygienic and the passengers on the planes were the worst. He won’t fly/work until he feels it’s “safe”.

Another safety point about E-Bikes. Quality E-Bikes generally have hydraulic disc brakes with 4 pot rotors, and 203 mm discs in many cases. The combination give them enormous stopping power. Yes E-Bikes weigh 29 to 58 pounds, while unpowered bikes bikes weigh 16 to 40 pounds, but throw in the weight of a 160 pound rider, and the rider E-Bike combination is roughly 10 percent heavier, while having 30 to 100% of the braking power. Seattle E-Bike sells one E-Bike that weighs less than 29 pounds, about the weigh of the average unpowered bike. Yes there are hard core racers who own 16 pound bikes, you will rarely see them going under 30. Not after paying $12000 and working out like triatheletes. If you are into pain, don’t buy an E-Bike. Different strokes. If you must have both, make sure your shoes are two full sizes too small.

West Seattle Wonder Dogs offers small/medium size dog day care, puppy socialization classes, group training classes and private training.

We currently have a part time position open for a morning day care shift 6:45am-10:45am Monday through Friday. There would also be extra hours available when other staff need time off.

We use exclusively positive training and behavior management techniques and have a low dog to staff ratio. Our day care has around 15 dogs per day and our group classes max out at 8 participants.

This is an ideal position for someone wanting to learn and practice positive training techniques since even our day care has a heavy focus on basic training.

We have been in operation since September 1st after taking over an existing facility and are looking for hard working dog lovers to join our quickly growing team!

If you are also interested in gaining experience/mentorship in group training classes, there would be an opportunity to assist in classes and puppy socialization groups from 6-8:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and also Saturday mornings.

*We have been practicing social distancing by having one dog handler on shift at a time, so being comfortable working alone with up to 15 small to medium dogs is a must.

**Our clients are following our no contact drop offs and pick ups and anyone hired for this position needs to follow these procedures strictly as well.

***Note that we are located in West Seattle. Please consider the closing of the bridge and how that will impact your accessibility and/or level of misery in commuting.

The biggest problem with bike lanes is that they inevitably become multi-use trails. Alki has both a pedestrian sidewalk and a bike trail, but it never works out like that. I almost never use the bike trail, because it can be completely clogged, and getting up to 10 mph can be a challenge.

Except for the few empty trails, or when I have no other choice, I much prefer just riding on the road. For me, it just seems safer.
