Home in West Seattle looking for help taming an unruly jungle of a yard. When we purchased our home we did not know what was going on with our yard, but now that we have gotten to a summer we realize we need help to tame it! This job would include lots of weeding, leveling of an uneven dirt yard, and potentially building a retaining wall dependent on your experience. Our preference is to avoid using corporations or services UNLESS they are truly locally owned and operated as some of the “franchise” services do not pay their workers well. If you know a company that is reliable and trustworthy, we are happy to look into them! I have been ghosted by quite a few companies.

Thank you so much for considering us!

If you are interested, please email me a short email pertaining to your interest, a bit about yourself, and a contact phone number.

Rate: Negotiable dependent upon experience and going rate, will pay in cash

    Hi,
I lost a ring while swinging at Hiawatha Park. It was a mood ring, around size 7, bronze, with color distortion on some sides when warm.
If you find it while you’re around the swing set at Hiawatha, please leave a comment, I’ve had the ring for years and I’m sad to have lost it.

Thank you and have a good Day!

From a reader: “I found a lost iPhone in Pigeon Point on a early morning walk today. It was in the middle of the street on 21st. I didn’t want it to get run over so I took it with me. I’ve been waiting for someone to call it so I can get it returned. Happy to return it to whoever can unlock it! I’m in North Delridge.” If you’re missing an iPhone with a photo of two people on the lockscreen, contact us and we’ll connect you – or call your phone!

Kol HaNeshamah is Looking for a Few Great Teachers!
Contact Elizabeth at khneducator@khnseattle.org or 425.765.6971

West Seattle’s progressive synagogue is dedicated to Torah (Learning), Avodah (Worship/Prayer), Tzedek, (Justice) Tikkun (Healing), and K’hillah (Community). And we are looking for a couple of excellent teachers for our supplemental education program to begin in September 2024.

    Small classes and great kids!
Saturday classes meet on the first and third Shabbat weekends from 9:30 – 11:30 am.

Hebrew Classes meet every Tuesday afternoon from 4:45 – 6:15 pm.
We have two positions to fill for the coming school year. One is a classroom teacher for our 6th-grade Hebrew class. Our program teaches prayer, not Hebrew as a language, so fluency in Hebrew is not required. However, the ability to read Hebrew and knowledge about the liturgy are both important. The pay rate is between $42 and $45/hour, depending on experience.

The other position is a Hebrew Through Movement specialist who would visit all the classes on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings. Hebrew Through Movement is a fun and exciting way to get the kids up and moving and learning as they go. For more information about Hebrew Through Movement, follow this link: https://www.hebrewthroughmovement.org/

This specialist position includes ten hours of paid time for training this summer. The training is through the website above and is a series of videos you can watch on your own schedule. The pay rate for this position is $40/ hour for ten hours of training and $48/hour for classroom work.
