A culinary background/interest in food is helpful. Knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Outlook a plus.

Some Benefits of Working at Ritrovo

Predictable hours: We operate 9-5, Monday through Friday. This part-time position will likely be 1-5, M-F.

Primary responsibilities include a variety of program-related duties, along with support for key operational, administrative and fundraising outreach efforts. We currently operate in 4 SPS schools, including Roxhill and Sanislo.

You can try to either talk to them or leave a note and explain the issue to see how they respond before worrying about a feud.
If the dog is barking during the day there is not much you can do about it.
If the dog is barking during the hours of 10pm – 7am weekdays or 9am weekends then you can log a noise complaint and have animal control come talk to the neighbor for you. Keep track of the times and dates in a log and provide it to them.
If you believe the dog is barking due to neglect or abuse, like being left outside during a heatwave, you can call animal control and they will go to the neighbors and talk to them for you also.
It takes about 2-3 follow up complaints for them to then start being fined, but if they do not have a dog license, their rabies shots up to date and proof of all that when animal control shows up, then they could also be fined for both of those things as well.

I agree with you. I also find it uncomfortable to have to enter the tip while the waitperson stands there watching. In some cases, you’re asked to enter a tip while you order and pay at a counter where not only is there no table service, but the food hasn’t even arrived yet. If the purpose of a tip is to reward good food and service, how does this make sense? In some restaurants, patrons seat themselves and are then required to order via an app connected to a QR code at the table, and the “waitstaff” essentially operate as table runners. And yet they still expect a full tip. A former Junction fave of mine adopted this model, and I haven’t been back since (they also then served burned fish & chips cooked in dirty oil, so…) We definitely need some new rules around tipping.

    You are a minor, LL.

Will try to find a way to contact you and if that fails, may just take them to the police department.

First of all, it’s unclear to me after reading this biblical diatribe who was actually at fault. Second, if this guy was really behaving in such an unhinged way, why on earth would you confront him with a newborn baby in tow? It sounds like you escalated the situation at several points, placing both yourself and your child at risk. I’m also not sure the dude with the “scraggly dog” is the one with entitlement issues; the choice of giving birth does not automatically make you eligible for special status, either on the road or out in public. Maybe you need to stay home and recover a bit longer and take care of your physical and mental health before going out and dragging an infant into a brawl.

Some people are CONVINCED that if they don’t feed these wild animals that they’ll starve. Worked with a woman many years ago in an old building in Renton. We had rats so the boss got facilities to put out rat traps. Came in one day to the traps in the garbage. She said that they were cruel and told us she left food around so those poor rats could eat. Moral of my story is that it’s unlikely this woman will stop feeding.

There is a elderly woman who walks the neighborhood and Hiawatha Park, throwing food from a bag feeding the crows. Mind you, this also feeds the squirrels and other vermin….

This is not healthy for the people who live nearby. All these animals can fend for themselves. By feeding them you are encouraging them to live nearby. Crows dive-bomb people when they have young in the nest. Rats and raccoons are a menace to human health. Crows are also loud. My son was dive bombed by a crow – it cut open his head and he had to get a tetanus shot. We have witnessed many people get a “fly by” very close, it’s alarming and not safe.

Please stop. If you see her, please ask her to stop. We have asked many times. It’s usually early morning as I think she’s afraid of too many people witnessing this bad behaviour.
