Here is what I do. Right now I have about 25 cats including my own. I line my litter boxes with newspaper and use crown littler. It is recycled newspaper pellets(also comes as good mews). Now the difference between and those of your who only have 1-3 cats maybe LOL. I dump my litter every morning and pick poop out in the afternoons. I HATE clumping litter personally. When people come into our house the first thing people say is how many cats do you have? They are always amazed that my house doesn't STINK! Wood pellets are fine too.
