well, Francis, I, for one, don’t have all the time in the world to sit here and post on the forum. But…I work at home, so it’s easy for me, between clients, to pop on here. I have lived in West Seattle for 35 years, and am simply interested in what goes on in my community.

My advice is this. Meet some of the people who post on here. For instance, some of us are involved in a fundraiser next weekend at The Rocksport (sports bar) next Saturday 4/10. It’s at 2pm. Come meet us, hang out for a bit.

I have met a great group of friends in West Seattle because of the West Seattle Blog. We started out with a function to raise money for the local food bank, then to help a businessman here who had some business trouble (fire)…and now we just get together periodically…for brunch, dinner, for a Christmas party…or to celebrate summer. And..we’ve met other people because of those times. We just socialize.

We are not scary people…we are what you would call “average”..ages differ, anywhere from early 20’s to mid-sixties. But don’t cut yourself out of the picture before you actually meet some of the people on here. It’s much easier to say things on a forum such as this, but the true personality doesn’t come across as it would if you met them in person.
